Cheaper options!
Nothing worse than a slideshow of designer products and 'season must-haves', each of which cost more than my grocery bill.
Tip: Cheaper products, (read $40 and under) are appreciated. Also, don't assume we'll love them, just because the editor does.

You should be able to see either endless stories or click next page to see more form the days prior.
I miss a day or so b/c i'm busy at work. And want to catch up on some stories. And i get to the bottom of the page and NOTHING. I can't see more, I can't click next page to view more. Once you changed the layout it features 8 stories and no archives.

Allow us to see farther back than just today's articles.
THe old Shine used to let you go back as far as you want. But now it just shows "Today in Love + ***." So essentially, I have to go on every day if I don't want to miss any articles, which I feel more or less defeats the purposeof having an online magazine type thing. Ain't nobody for time fo' dat! Perhaps you do have the other articles available, but I can't figure out how to access them, so if you could make it a bit more clear and user-friendly, I would really appreciate it.

Can you start posting stuff for real women and no fake superficial women
I used to get on shine to find useful and interesting information. Now all it is is fake brain washing worldy **** about what this or that celeb is wearing. how to look ******, or how to be fake. not everyone one in this world is brainwashed and needs real things to read about!

DELIVER THE DAILY HOROSCOPE ON THE CORRECT DAY! I ALWAYS GET THE DAY PREVIOUS THEN HAVE TO GO TO THE WEB TO GET TODAY'S! Very frustrating I'm about ready to cancel

You need to put top stories at the top or at least make it bigger
I didn't even notice there was a scrolling option for today's top stories because it's so small and overshadowed by the huge feature of the day.

STOP with the top commenter label
Your "top commentators" continually prove themselves to be uninformed and sometimes morally repugnant! Why do we need this?!? So a couple of people can feel important? Well they ain't; They comment on articles on Yahoo (as do I). It's not like we've cured a major disease or something....Get rid of it!

Please go back to before you had to scroll down to read more stories. Having pages with 5-6 stories per page was great.
I say you just go back to the way yahoo shine used to be. The whole scrolling farther down the screen to load more stories is a bit frustrating because you cant even see what the topics of some stories are.

The new type of ad that takes up the corner of a video is annoying especially when there's text to read.
I understand the need to generate income from ads but this is I think the most annoying ad imaginable. I'd like to see them removed. If there's text at the bottom you can miss it even if you enlarge it to full screen. I've never seen a type of ad that made me angry enough to make any suggestion. And my frustration is directed in part at the product I'm forced to look at. I won't be feeling like buying that product any time soon.

Older ladies use the computer alot. We need help and advice too.
My children and grand children are grown. They moved to larger cities leaving me here with Pops. He is retired and has alzheimers, early.
I am going bananas. I have health problems and have to wear a back brace. It is not fun to be alone after all these years. I am glad the kids and grandchildren are having a wonderful life.1 vote -

What happened to the old shine?!
I would read your website regularly because it had tons of interesting articles. Now, there are only a handful shown on each category and the financially fit section is now gone :(. I am really disappointed. I liked reading the articles but I also didn't like how the videos played without my opting in. I'm starting to move onto other websites now for the articles I want to read such as: thedailymuse.com and cosmopolitan. I'm sad that I can't read the articles you used to have available.

Why don't put more vegetarian recipes form many countries?
Well i am a vegetarian and eat only veggies, fish, grains, and fruits. I makes ethnic dishes form amny lands and cultures. I stay in good body health for my age. Meat is detrimental to body's intake as it leads to many unwanted or needed conditions. As awoman no.! killer is heart disease et al. Please consider this on your yahoo page it will be much appreciated. If you would like some nice recipes I wil be glad to share them with shine.

Yahoo Shine's food page can really be distinguished, I think, if there would be to put in an estimate cost of each ingredient and dish
Add in the prices of ingredients and dishes as estimated in the US to start off and this page will be one of the most popular ones out there.
And as time goes by, continuously add in estimates per state followed by countries.
Many times, when looking at ingredients, I assume the cost of certain ones are really expensive so I don't even bother going forward with the dish when it just might not be the case.
I'm a developer and would be more than willing to collaborate in this project. (My e-mail is entered in the e-mail text box…
