For some reason I have been blocked from commenting on the political news section. I'm signed in. What's up, yahoo?
I'm signed in. I can comment on all news articles except political. I have never been abusive. What's up? Do you have something against Libertarians? If this continues, I will close my account and never come back.
Hi there,
Are you still seeing this problem? If yes, please let us know what browser and version you are using to help with further investigation.

I've not seen comments on news articles for two months. I reinstalled my OS and when I visited Yahoo I could see the comments again...however as soon as I logged in they disappeared and I cannot get them back. So it seems I have been blacklisted. I was a little naughty with my comments though, I must admit. I tend to take the Mickey out of the inane subject matter in most of Yahoo's articles. Perhaps I've been reported. So much for freedom of speech and trying to entertain people.

Yahoo Wil enforce their Liberal beliefs on you....especially if one of the left wing liberal commenters reports you as "abusive".....which could simply mean they do. It like someone who does not support Democrats.

This is also happening to me. Is Yahoo is the business of blocking comments that don't agree with their views? This is very disturbing.

I was blocked for an Obama comment, I'm Canadian, can't vote. Now My Yahoo email is blocked after more than 12 years... Yahoo is losing customers and going out of business IMHO. GMail here I come!

I had a significant issue similar to what Stephanie is experiencing. I discovered that my Safari for windows browser was the problem, because it went away when I switched back to IE7. Note here that Safari was very cooperative with my Yahoo! ID when using Mail, Weather, Answers, and a host of other services. Yahoo! News wouldn't recognize my logon when using Safari.
Too bad! Safari had other features that I found to be superior to IE.

When I try to post political comments, and signed in, it never will post. The next screen wants me to open facebook to my yahoo account. It seems it is trying to force me to open up my facebook.
All i want is to post a comment. What is the trick? Why are you not letting me comment? -

Yup - that just happened to me. I posted a comment and then another poster started calling me names etc and I could not reply or defend myself (and the replies I drafted were very civil)... it shows I posted the comment but when I refresh the page the comment disappears... I now understand why some people think Yahoo censors the posts.

I too have the problem of not being able to make comments and then sometimes I make comments and never see them again! The little thing when I try to make comments just keeps circling and the comments already made are shadowed

I have had three different post on three different days. Removed when I make any comment on the "LIBERAL!" bias in the National Media. I have not mentioned Yahoo News by name, but your guilty of this. (BIG TIME!) You have a choice. Let my comments stand as they are or ban me. Because I will confront Liberal bias in The National Media when and where ever I find it.

I am able to reproduce this error, Product support. It is due to the fact you do not provide an SSL session and let users get hijacked. Where have you people been the past two or three years while groups like anonymous have been literally raping other corporations and their user info? With your heads in the sand? Move out of your cave!

I'm using google chrome most current version ... and I am having the same issue. Political commenting seems blocked. Comments will not load and the comment board remains frozen. It is any News article that mentions either Romney or Obama in the headline, or any story where their are political ramifications having to do with the upcoming election. So pick your post it does not matter, but for instance: "Presidential debate: Which questions might trip up Obama, Romney?" but I comments do load and I am able to post on "Real-life Anime Girl: Anastasiya Shpagina’s Bizarre Make-up Tutorial" in fact ck my comment out; it simply states I can comment here. Is someone on staff at Yahoo, blocking political commentary ... (if they are ... fire them) ... are you hacked .... (this is not an isolated situation); recently I was hacked someone managed to get my password (though I'm the only one other that Yahoo that might know it) ... I changed my password and whoever it was that was using my account to spam was circumvented. I think Yahoo is suffering from some internal security compromise politically based.

I have been having the same problem for some time. I try to post a comment on an article and it asks me how I want to post, Yahoo, Facebook etc. I choose 'Yahoo', enter my log in info and it just does nothing, over and over. I can post comments on non-political articles, and I can log into my Yahoo mail or anything else with no problem. I am experiencing the problem using Safari version 5.1.7 and also Firefox version 14.0.1. By the way, I am a democrat...
