Hello,
We understand some of you experienced problems while trying to access Portfolio from basic view. The problem has been resolved but it might resurface as a result of your browser history. We always suggest some additional steps to avoid browser problems as documented at the following page -
http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&y=PROD_FIN&locale=en_US&id=SLN4525&impressions=false
We trust these additional steps will prevent the most common Portfolio view issues.
Kind regards,
Y! Product Support

Not even close to being solved. Seriously. If your website behaves that badly with normal browser caching/cookie behavior, then you need to fire some programmers over there..... shouldn't be this hard to fix.

This fix does not work.
It works once. Is the intention that the browser history be deleted for every refresh?

Same problem here, half a year after the original message. I am switching to Google finance. Yahoo is doomed. Too bad... They use to be a good company.

Well, I did what was suggested, lost all my stored passwords and it still won't load the portfolios.

I followed the emailed advice, and cleared my cache and cookies. I moved the fields Trd date and Notes from their positions to try and 'initialize' something, anything.
To no avail.
If I can't see my Trade date, I don't need this portfolio - I can get enough info elsewhere.

... also, this is the #1 VOTED COMPLAINT BY USERS ABOUT FINANCE.YAHOO.
Will you get this? I don't see how it could be more clearly shown to you.

NO THIS IS NOT "Completed".
Did you actually try changing a Portfolio List? Do you use the finance site at all? If you have to go to a separate page to "add" versus "reorder" symbols, then IT IS STILL BROKEN.
Where do I mark that the fix was not "Completed"? Not having this is s severe bug in itself.

I am getting this "error msg" more and more frequently. If this is a server overload as some suggest, please return "server busy" msg, not the incorrect and useless "no fields are selected" msg. If the msg is really due to some settings error as "edit the view to select fields" implies, pls explain where to "edit the view." My Default View is set to Basic; what needs to be changed?

Many Yahoo! sites such as Sports have similar problems where random parts of the page are sometimes missing until you reload. I can tell you this has been going on for at least EIGHT years, so don't expect them to do anything about it. It's ridiculous and inexcusable, despite Alex Janssen's attempts at excuses.

This problem has been happening for so long. I can't understand why it hasn't been fixed yet.
