Wished I hadn't bought my Vizio E241i-B1 TV
I bought my Vizio TV refurbished from Walmart's website. The TV itself works great, but due to issues at the time I bought the TV, I didn't get to use it until 3 years after buying it. After connecting it to the internet at my new home, I was disappointed in the number of apps that this TV uses. It also seems that Yahoo has abandoned the smart TV app service, due to not enough apps being available. I don't remember the TV model that I could have picked up from Shopko for the same price, but without the smart TV feature built in. Vizio also stopped supporting Yahoo TV in favor of Google Chromecast. I just wonder how they'll support older TV's, before there are no further updates. Because of this experience, I will now have to buy me either a Google Chromecast, or a Roku, just to have an updated streaming service. I will never buy another smart TV again, out of fear that the built-in service is integrated into it, will no longer be supported. I don't replace my TV's as often, and I don't intend to replace this TV until it quits working. If people were smart, they'd avoid smart TV's completely, & just get the streaming boxes or sticks, as that'll keep you from having an obsolete built-in streaming service.
