Police your attitudes
When I opened up yahoo news, the first article I saw was about the so-called "redneck riviera". I find the term "redneck" to be very disrespectful and divisive. I also find it hurtful. It stirred up many old memories of how I was treated and the names I was called at a certain time and place in my life. I would not have expected yahoo to so flippantly toss such a hurtful term about like it was nothing. I am very disappointed in your disregard for the feelings of others.

Try balanced reporting about the Arizona audit, including the opposition to legal senate programs and criminal behaviour by elected officials in violating subpeonas.

Wow !!! Yahoo sure isn't saying a whole lot about the Afghanistan debackle. Stll covering for democrats and communists, I see.
Verizon is a "who's who" of internationalists, socialists, and communists. I was hoping that Verizon would improve Yahoo "news".... but Yahoo went from the frying pan and into the fire.

Bring your comment section back. It was the only reason I’d click on a Yahoo article. We’re big boys and girls. We can don’t need ‘safe’
We’re adults. Grow up. Freedom of speech, you know. Bring back comments.

Yahoo News
I appreciate that you're bringing in different voices but what I'd really like is more moderate reporting. Bringing in far right and far left wingnuts doesn't make it balanced, at least not in a meaningful way. Washington Examiner and Fox News are ridiculous in their "reporting." I also don't like the presenting opinion pieces as news. Maybe, MAYBE if they're someone prominent but these left-wingers telling their opinion of something going on through their ultra-progressive lens is not interesting.
I know you're under a new structure and I appreciate your efforts. Please continue. If there's a way to bring more…

I miss the reactions page. I don't know what that "safe exchange of ideas is about". It's fun to read them and to respond. Did somebody?
What's the problem? Are you worried about a right wing reactionary takeover of communication? (a valid fear) I'm guessing that the "rabid rightists" of whom you are afraid, will characterize Yahoo as Right Wing Nuts. (This is also a valid concern).
I have not seen Yahoo as an originator of "hate speech". To me your algorithms are fine. I'm not sure how you're stated goals align with your published goals. I'm guessing they don't. I also believe you don't know who you want to be.
Who DO you want to be?

I lost interest in Yahoo news because they wont allow me comment on stories.
If stories posted here could be part of people's opinions expressed, and could carry errors, why not allow readers express their perspectives on what they read? Stop playing God over me

If you do not allow comments, please do not allow disinformation as news
Clearly, the old unmoderated comment section was a target for trolls and automated response patterns on many topics. However, now you have the opposite problem. Disinformation disguised as news. The National Review article skewering the 60 minutes piece on Desantis is a case in point. If you don't have comments, at least provide fact checking on the articles you post.

It will not be over night but we are so far behind because of all the skeptics, did any
happen to read all the air quality reports during the Pandemic? That was
just an example how much taking cares off the roads will have. More
folks working at home and then driving EV will make a huge difference.
Just give it time.958th ranked -
Stop posting racist articles. For example, justifying Bidens ban on menthol ciggarettes
"Despite Biden’s ban of menthol cigarettes, getting Blacks to quit smoking remains a challenge"
um, what the **** is wrong with you?
You leftists are racist as ****475th ranked -

"Your voice is important to us. This is a place for you to help shape the Yahoo News experience. Read below to learn more about our company, our editorial team and how to contact us. Our teams review the feedback from this forum to make positive changes to Yahoo News."...Well this is a fine corporate lie...It is obvious that you neither listen to us nor care what we think...Multiple requests to return the comments section and nothing for over a year, and yet I feel no safer because I cannot comment anymore...Stop lying to us...

Go back to letting us comment on articles as they do on AOL.
You promised a temporary halt in reader comments. The time has come to reinstate that option!!

Removal of comments, but only on what you want to remove them on... Censorship!
I find it disgusting that your company feels it appropriate to determine what I am, and am not, allowed to have an opinion on. Or that you are in some way bettering my engagement on the site by not allowing me to express my opinion on an article you published.
I can contribute to a UFC fight article, but not to a COVID-19 article that actually has some bearing on society.
I can contribute to an article about a bbq competition, but nothing about the presidents last address? I know you don't give two cents about losing people, there aren't…646th ranked -
Add a setting to stop auto-play of videos
THIS HAS BEEN SUGGESTED MANY TIMES BEFORE ... and all you ever do is close comments quickly and post an admin "review". How about being responsive about this?
I access Yahoo News via a slow connection due to circumstances. Just loading the video brings the rest of the page load to a crawl, and then when it starts playing I can forget being able to scroll down the article.
"Autoplay off" doesn't work. That's been proven by previous complaints. If you want us to keep coming here, listen to us and don't drive us away because you don't want to…
