How can we improve Yahoo News?

Bring Back user controlled features. I don't need yahoo to tell me what to read.

A person used to be able to set their own criteria for news and features they want to see. Now it appears Yahoo wants to tell us what to read intertwined with ads made to look like news stories. Pathetic.

Left Yahoo home page....Using Google now. No comments history. Stupid news stories I don't care about. No more scrolling news stories at top of page. Have to click on article to read part of it then click again to go to website. Too many popups and sponsored stories. I all of my yahoo mail forwarded to Google mail now. Started using Yahoo in 1998. I guess they don't care about loyalty or losing users. Yahoo will soon be gone. That is my prediction....

Yes. I'm out of here. I really don't want my top story to be "I Had to Deal With My Dad's House After He Committed a Brutal Murder-Suicide in It".

        Coming back for mail only.

I agree. now we don't have any choices. Don't like the new format either, there is not way to ask Yahoos how to quickly change back to the old controller features. A very bad Idea to force people to change this. MSN allows a choice. Will change to MSN if no results.

I dont need some Yahoo at Yahoo deciding what I need or want to read. I am perfectly able to select my own choices. I hate the new format and am currently seeking other news outlets to set as my home page.

I don't like the new format either, I read Yahoo news everyday for the last 10 years and was dissapointed by the change in format

I agree with that. I guess i'll start using msn they at least let you choose what to read and not what they want you to.

That's the truth. I'm interested in news, not Kardashians. I'm interested in science, not science projects (like the Kardashians et al). I'm interested in real politics, not in parasites trying to become politicians (Kanye, anyone?) Do you see a pattern here, Yahoo? Kardashians and all like them are not news. They are just human trash that is used to fill space between news stories, much like the other kind of landfill.

I want to select my news sources and I want all of my ads to feature beautiful women. Yahoo allows me to select neither. Perhaps it's a good thing, as Yahoo's insistence on brainwashing, annoying and/or boring me is helping me to break my internet addiction.

Yahoo is sellingmout and will soon become the old myspace if it doesn't switch course. Remove Katie Couric and the other garbage we cannot filter out. Maybe time to boycott and got to the new Ello :-)

Oh by the way where to you find yahoo. maps? Oh yeah go to google and search for yahoo.maps it's easy.

      • CharlesCharles commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

I had to do a google search to even find the old yahoo.new now that is sad.
Sometimes change is not a good thing.

Could you please stop bugging us with news about the bottom size of Kim Kardashian on the FRENCH YAHOO HOME PAGE ?

Nobody knows who she is anyway and thousands of people have already complained on the FRENCH uservoice.com page, where NObODY ever answers !

Your "news" articles are just so vile !
Users are fed up with your lousy policies, new email, NEO sucks, advertisements even in our inbox, and now the news are below anything

Why try to change a good thing?? When it wasn't changed all of the time we knew where and how to search. Give us back our own free will !!l

INDEED! Yahoo, quit spamming OUR homepages with absolute garbage. It isn't so terribly difficult to let users tailor their YAHOO experience by themselves (we use to do it for YEARS);I've about run out of patience with how juvenile your efforts in these last 18 months have been. There are other news outlets/homepage options so I'm sure people will continue to vote with their mouse clicks AWAY FROM YAHOO.
