It is an excuse for criminals to spread fear among us and to divide us. This as simple as it gets. If you want to avoid interaction with police do the following: 1. do not grow up to be a criminal. 2. If caught give up and comply. 3. do not stay out until the early morning and posses a gun. Perhaps you can clarify how eliminating comments works toward your stated goal of creating "a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions." Where is this place, exactly?

I'm glad I'm not the only one missing the comments section, but you should be honest about your reason for "suspending" it.
Either start the Comments section again, or be honest to your readers about why you suspended it. The election is OVER. The winner is clear. If you want to end the rancor, at least SAY that this is your reason for ending Comments.

Commenting
I used to visit Yahoo News a dozen times a day, for news and opinions. Now I only visit once or twice a month just to see if commenting is back. Time to remove Yahoo News from my favorites.

Stop hiding behind the eight ball!!! Yahoo chose to do it's worst in assisting with creative answer to perplexing issues
answers to important issues, so that no matter what the responses were, you ignored them. Either you are in this with most Americans, or you are not. The public, that I'm sure reads your posts, can not be thrilled with your lame brained excuses for not committing to a cause.

Before I continue you should know I've been with Yahoo for AT LEAST TWENTY years, my current DEFAULT personal email kadman59@yahoo.com was my FIRST-EVER personal email account and it remains my #1 personal account. With that said, my "relationship" with Yahoo is now in its THIRD DECADE but at the rate things are going it doesn't look like it will make it to a fourth. Yahoo has made MANY decisions…

Isn't this a shame, I wrote a comment earlier today and pointed out about how you can
a Republican and this news cast where Sen Murphy slammed the reporter because all he wanted to do was talk about how horrible the GOP thinks Biden's immogration policy. Biden has been president for 60
days and he has not even had a chance to install his immigration policy.Trump was on an interview and I do not know why the impeached president is talking about a man he would not even declare
his presidency and incited his supporters to storm the Capitol and is
still saying that Pence should have stopped the election cerification. and you have a reporter asking…781st ranked -
Stop the ban on comments. They improve yahoo subjects and help us decide what is right according to what we all have to say about a subject.
You don't care what I think. You only care that I agree with what you think.

Open your comment section! If you do not support free speech you will be recognized for the propaganda machine that you are. You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time! says Abraham Lincoln.
