Comments are gone in an election year!!!
(In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting............Yahoo says.) I believe that is against the law. Every new outlet allows commenting. It is a constitutional right for freedom of speech. Yahoo must know most of it's assigned news stories have severe problems with the truth.Bring back the comments or loose many readers here.

Yahoo obviously doesn't care about its customers. Every comment is saying bring back the posts after articles. And Yahoo doesn't even offer an explanation of why they eliminated the posts. When customers feel like they're being ignored, they find another service provider.

Let us comment yahoo or are you scared that we don't agree with your narrative on every issue?? The truth really hurts doesn't it!! I think that everyone should look for a new news outlet that actually allows open debate and discussion among its readers. Yahoo is truly a sad news outlet now. Yahoo now uses that same old leftist tactic if we don't agree with them 100 percent then they silence us.

Stop the media lies
Seems cutting of commenting during an election cycle is a political tool by the DNC................no one to fact check but the media itself.. People tell me everyday that Yahoo needs to clarify the reason of the timing.

Bring back the comments section on your 'news' page, people actually have tougher skin than they let on
So close to an election and I think I understand why you did away with the comments section. Here goes my theory, the 'news' stories you post have a very distinctive ***** and the comments were the only place for opposing views to be heard. Perfect example of what I mean is the story about the Pentagon looking into UFO's. Numerous times the author attacks Lou Dobbs and Fox News. Any reason there is no disclaimer? Bring back the comments.

Think about your articles before posting them
I just finished reading an article posted on yahoo about how parents should get paid to raise and teach their children and nothing is more ridiculous. I did not have a way to comment directly on the article, so I will contact you this way.
I agree that the Coronavirus pandemic has put a lot of extra stress on families, especially on the children who want nothing more than to return to school and resume having relationships and experiences that those of us who are no older took for granted. But pay us for it?? That's moronic and to post… -

Comment removal is the same as speech suppression.
With elections coming up and the virus being politicized more than ever the removal of the comments feels more like speech suppression. In the days after the removal I noticed a major up tic in news stories with blatantly false information being promoted. Most evolving around the election candidates and the virus.
