I can't stand the advertisement videos that automatically start (with sound). Especially those that you can't shut the volume off!!!!
I can't believe you have advertisement videos that start automatically (with sound) on a page where a person goes to watch a video. Especially the ones that don't have a way to silence them. It is doing more than making me scroll down (or up) to find them to shut them up. It's making me want to stop coming to Yahoo! News and find a different website. I HATE having to stop my video to wait for an ad!

Your new News Feed really stinks. It is annoying to the point that I don't want to click on anything.
Most of the articles I click on say they can't be found. And clicking on the ones that do have actual content takes me another yahoo page with a paragraph of content and a Read More button linked to the actual article. Why can't you just link to the actual article with the news feed links, like you used to?

Fix the damned notifications.
When clicking on a "notification" I get directed to some story that I have not commented on and really could care less about. Time to fix what's broken for a change.

Do Away with "Read More" on News Stories
Do away with the "Read More" tab on your highlighted news stories. Clicking on these tabs takes exceptionally long to load content and discourages reading further as the page loads many ads and keeps you from reading the article until fully loaded. I'm not going there anymore whe I have to "Read More". It just clutters the screen with load time.

The next time you shove a commercial down my throat without even a way to stop the video is the last time I use the Yahoo news service.
Stop shoving video commercials in my face that can't be stopped. Neither do I appreciate video that auto plays. I prefer to read the **** the story, if I want to see the video I'll click on it. You are about to lose me as a member.

Every article I open I get a live sports broadcast in the background.I dont want to hear the Yankees game! i want to t to read an article!

Please FIX your broken comments feature.
Please FIX your broken comments system. "My Comments" no longer appears, making it impossible to find my comments; it's impossible to keep track of anyone else's because links are broken, and I no longer receive notifications as to when someone responds to or rates one of my comments. And it has been like this for a month. What is going on?

Don't restart autoplay videos after I stop them.
If I stop the autoplay videos, then open a page in another tab to read a news story, then close that tab and go back to the original page, the autoplay starts again,. Not cool. Knock it off. People have data caps.

Why do you keep changing format setups? Bring back the old format on the News and Science page. I hate having these "auto-play" videos begin as soon as I go to a new section. I do not want to see these huge thumbnails that take-up 1/4 of the page each. Bring back the list-style format like that on the HOME page.

Too many ads. Each page takes too long to load because you have ads everywhere. Sometimes less is more.
Cut down on the amount of information on each page. Your pages continuously refresh and have ads everywhere making it a pain to navigate. Less is more.

The Weather and My Location for Local news are not right. Please fix this.
The Weather section always shows Sunnyvale, CA. I live in Wisconsin. Get the Weather in the news page to show the correct location of the user. Also in Local news, it doesn't come up right away with my location. I have to click on it separately in the "Change Location" section.

I read an article and read other Yahoo users comments on that article I usually don't sign in.
Now here's the bug:
I happen to see a thread I would like to add to (comment, thumb up/down etc) It redirects me to sign in now
here's the catch
when being redirected back to the article and comment section THERE IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SET OF COMMENTS

Please improve the yahoo comments section.
Many times I post my remarks & it never shows up even though i'm not cursing or saying anything offensive to anyone. And I know that sometimes there is a delay (when lots pf ppl post at the same time) but even after waiting 5 min & checking, my comments still don't show up.
