video popup lower right corner
The news video popup in the lower right corner does not stay closed. It reopens with each new scroll down. No means no! Closed means stay closed. Reopening is harassment. This is important because on a zoomed browser screen, to 125%, your video blocks the text content overlaying it. Desktop, windows, brave browser.

Fix the state referenced in the transgender child article summary
The summary on the main yahoo.com news page says "Minnesota" is attempting to ban gender affirming care which is incorrect. The article text correctly references "Missouri" as the state attempting to ban gender affirming care. Minnesota and Missouri are different states.
Minnesota is doing the opposite making sure that gender affirming care is available for all from medical providers.
This is the article with the incorrect summary.

Fix your Help site so it functions properly and actually provides help.
I was notified my comment wasn't approved because I used a questionable word (claim). I was told to edit it or send for Comment Moderation. The site does not offer a way to send comments for moderation. Your Help site did not provide any answer or assistance. This is why people prefer Google.

Honor the browser settings - autoplay
I have Firefox set to NOT "autoplay audio and video", yet Yahoo News seems to ignore my browser settings.
I DO NOT WANT VIDEOS SUCKING UP MY DATA ALLOTMENT!
Why can't Yahoo honor my browser settings? If I want news videos, I will turn on my 65" TV. Why would I want to watch a video on my 6" phone screen? I even have dual 24" monitors OVER dual 27" monitors on my PC... Again, why would I want to watch a video on my 6" phone screen?
Guess my only option is to boycott Yahoo News on my phone.646th ranked -
I often see your articles state at the bottom 'What do you think? Let us know in the comments below'. But you don't have a comment section??
Fix your comments section, especially if you have articles stating 'Let us know in the comments'!

Ad can’t be closed makes story unreadable
The last 5 days, every single story I open is immediately covered by a massive Amazon ad that you cannot close and makes the stories completely unreadable. I’m having to go to other news sites to read news and you’ve been my favorite platform for years. Please fix it so I can keep reading.

U.S. News stories are not from U.S.
Most of the stories in the U.S. News section should be in the World News section.

You might have your editor differentiate between "its" the possessive and "it's" the contraction for it is....Apparently, she or he hasn't.
You might have your editor differentiate between "its" the possessive and "it's" the contraction for it is....Apparently, she or he hasn't. I see I'm not the only one chiding you for bad grammar -- and yes, we want good grammar and good taste.

https://news.yahoo.com/protests-blockades-greet-italy-covid-082537348.html
Your article states "devastating Covid-induced recession" if you're reporting accurately this should be more like "devastating Covid-inspired lockdown-induced recession". Also you do not mention natural immunity in this article which makes it look like blatant propaganda.

You posted a story 9/5/2021 "Americans opposed to vaccine look for way around".
You erroneously posted a photo of a gentleman in front of a 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' building. Very misleading. If you had done your due diligence investigating, you would have discovered that Covid vaccines are encouraged by church leadership for all who can access them. Please use appropriate and applicable photos for your news stories.

How do I unblock a news source?
I clicked on the 3 dots symbol next to a news listing on the home page to see what it is for and it automatically blocked that news source. I did not want to block that news source. It is one of my preferred news sources. How do I get it back?

news website gets wrong articles
your news website, upon clicking or right clicking on an article, frequently returns the wrong article. I'm using Firefox. Testing shows this is not happening with Google News, so this is on you and, perhaps, how your website does or doesn't work well with Firefox. if you suggest changing browsers instead of fixing your code -- i'll cease reading your news instead. [yes, my Win 10 box has all updates.]
