In the last several weeks, every time I try to "read more" of a story, the new page locks up and my Firefox browser crashes. I have to open the Task Manager and shut the browser down, but it does the same thing again. My Zone Alarm security at least keeps the rest of the system clear. Can you fix this?

It was an error to change to the current format you have. I do not like to click on a story then get a short paragraph only have to click and wait to get the rest of the story to load. The adds load real nice and quick. Then we have to wait for all the bs and story itself to load. You are wasting my life. I will never get back the time I've wasted waiting for your stuff to load. . My Yahoo page no longer updates the news. Many news reports are over two weeks old now.
My Yahoo 'home' page no longer gives me updated news headlines.
Some of the news I see has been on my home page for two weeks.
Also, some reports show a date of December 1969
Also, I prefer not having 'video' on the home page as I get a sudden burst of loud audio at times that comes with it.
News reports often seem to be written by children.

Please stop making your users click READ MORE!!!!!!!!!! I have changed my homepage to msn.com
I will check back next week to see if you are still making users click "read more" when they have already clicked to, yes, read more! At some point I will get used to msn.com and never go back to yahoo

Eliminate malware from the home page articles
Home Page articles frequently have malware associated with them to the extent that my security software blocks opening them. Most recently, a full page pop-up appeared that would not close unless I used the link. It was necessary to shut down and reboot. Won't you vet what goes on the home page?

Stories Do Not Update
Yahoo News does not update stories on the mobile app. I use other platforms such as CNN and Fox or Apple News and Google to get the news. The stories do not update on mobile and they are not the same as the web version either. If i find a story on mobile and later try to catch up on the web, i cannot find it. This has been happening for quite some time now. I am signed in to both my mobile and web accounts.

Ads are blocking view of articles
Cut back on ads that pop up when trying to read articles!!! I know that is where you make your money, but give me a break, I cannot even read the articles anymore with ads popping up, multiple ads talking at the same time, etc. clean it up please.

What happened to "Dear Abby?" The column hasn't been updated for while.
No new "Dear Abby" column, even though many other sites have the new ones. You're ripping off your advertising who relied on your providing content that would attract their demographic. You exposure has dropped significantly with your update failures that someone needs to tell them to stop advertising with Yahoo until the remedial code-tappers are terminated.

IE crashing from ads on Yahoo News
Fix your ads so they do not continually crash Internet Explorer. No other news site causes the number of IE crashes that I see on Yahoo News.

Stop posting joke stories on the news pages as if they are true news. [Borowitz report]
Yahoo's front page posts "headlines" from the Borowitz Report as though they are actual news headlines. They aren't. They are jokes, similar to the Onion. Yahoo's front page includes them as real headlines among real news stories, with no indication that THEY ARE A JOKE.

make bots editing curse words better
It's admirable that you have a bot that replaces obscenities with @$%@$! on comments, but it could be a bit more sophisticated. For example, comments on an article about early man changed Hom_o Sapiens to #$!$ Sapiens. Stupid bots.

Why can't you post articles according their "location", US under US, Mid. East under Mid East, Asia under Asia etc..etc.. Why the mish mash ?

Autoplay Preferences Don't Stick
I keep setting the autoplay preferences to OFF, but either the coding is garbage (common Yahoo issue) and it doesn't stay, or you keep deliberately turning it on. If you keep offending, embarrassing, or subjecting your users to discipline at work, they're going to abandon you. KNOCK IT OFF!

Deleting sub-comment deletes master comment
When commenting, if you reply to comments under your comment and then decide to delete the sub-comment (say for instance in the case you want to correct your grammar or spelling, which Yahoo! will not allow you to do) the original comment is then also deleted. This needs to be fixed.

Have current local news!
Local news for Tallassee, AL has been showing stories dated 28 Jan 2015 for over a week. These "old" stories are appearing only for WSFA 12 Montgomery, Mobile Press-Register, and FOX 6 News Birmingham. WHNT-TV Huntsville and the Tuscaloosa News stories are updating daily.
