  1. Give us back our comments. I am very angry that I can no longer comment.

Why have we not gotten the ability to make comments on news stories back. All we have is that stupid "survey" button which doesn't even let you make additional statements if you took the survey already. There have been so many stories that I have wanted to make comments on that you will not allow me to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIX IT - GIVE BACK OUR COMMENTS

  2. Enable Full Block of Publishers

"Limit Publishers Option" is useless. When Limit Publishers is not working, allow Yahoo Subscribers to Block.

  3. Return the comments area.

As Yahoo continues to "editorialize" instead of "reporting" the "news", the comments section served to provide a forum for actual intelligent discussion of the topic presented. Who is Yahoo afraid of "triggering"?

  4. Your goal are the comments feature are not compatible

Your goal "to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions" isn't really compatible with the comments feature. I'll speculate that you're going to end up in a never-ending policing effort if you continue down this path. You may want to rethink your intentions and create a feature that's compatible with your goal, like a hobby interest forum. Or better yet, consider this wild and crazy idea... pick a goal that's compatible with the comments feature and bring it back.

  5. Eliminating the comments is the biggest mistake Yahoo could make.

Yahoo doesn't have the best reputation what with its leftist bias and censorship of everything towards the right. At least the comments allowed an exchange of ideas. Now it's more reasonable to go to CNN or Fox since they have a better reporting reputation.

  8. Give the people back free speech!

Engaging in lively and oftentimes hilarious debate was the best part of yahoo. Now there is zero reason to even bother clicking on your site. It’s not the same as Facebook nor should we be forced over there.

  10. Bring back the comments

Look, bring back the comments. We don't need a safe space where you hold our hands and pat them, saying there-there. We like to be able to poke fun at each other and to vehemently disagree with each other. Most of us can recognize a bot when we see one, we know not to click on dodgy links when posted. The only thing you're doing is uniting both the left and right against you. We want to be able to talk and yell at each other.

  11. The Comments Section was an opportunity to Educate Conspiracy Theorists

Yea, sure the comments section got toxic at times, but it was the only neutral ground I know of where both sides could have some kind of dialog. Without the comments section the conspiracy nuts will slither back to their conspiracy websites and just grow more paranoid.

Show some courage Yahoo and return the section.

  15. Very disappointed about removing the readers comments

I remember the first day I accessed the Internet back in 1993 in the computer lab of U. of Houston. Yahoo.com was probably my first site to browse. Since then and for 27 years now, Yahoo has been "home" to me, the place where I go to find out what is happening around the world. I literally spend hours on your different sites every single week.

Removing the readers comments from your news article was one of the worst decisions you have made. It took away 90% of the value of the site. I have been so mad and disappointed…

  16. Put Comment Section Back

Since you removed the comment section, I no longer go to Yahoo News as a source. That was the best aspect you had to differentiate from other biased news source.

  18. Just checking in regarding comment section

When will the survey be complete and we get the comment section back. I miss the absurdity of it all. And this is prime time as the election is getting closer. PLEASE bring back soon.

  20. If our voice was really important to you, the comment section would not have been dismantled.
