7. Please replace Kate Couric. It was a big mistake in the first place. I'm sure she is the one responsible for the headline mistake on Obama .

   Yesterday's headline on Yahoo was the worst ever. Saying that Obama was visiting the border was a very egregious error, and probably intentional by someone. I hold Katie Couric personally responsible as her mindset is well-known as a "flaming liberal" of the worst kind !

   There seems to be something wrong with the automatic censoring function on the News comments. For instance, it blocked out part of the word "trespassing" simply because it contains the three letters a-s-s in a row. It did the same thing to the word "assuming", The algorithm shouldn't censor PARTS of non-offensive words. This a malfunction and needs to be fixed.
   It also censored the word "*" in a non-salacious discussion of the famous movie scene in "Deliverance". And it continues to censor the words "Nazis" and "" even in comments about articles where those actual organizations are being discussed in an historical perspective. That simply doesn't make sense.

   I am writing to express my horror at the number of spelling and grammatical errors I find in so many of the articles I read in Yahoo. Trust me when I tell you that you are not alone. Almost every online news source I read is inundated with errors. Some sites are so bad that I've actually unsubscribed because I couldn't take it anymore!

   Your stories are informative and worth reading, but please hire someone to edit the articles before they are posted because the errors are such a distraction to people who pay attention to such things.

11. Improve Editing in Yahoo News Articles

    The editing in articles on your website needs care and attention. So many typos! I can't take Yahoo News seriously with such shoddy oversight. The Tim Skillern article about the "clock turning back" on American women has typos that call into question the care Tim and team took in preparing the article. The writing lacks narrative structure--it jumps from Hillary to others without introducing a connecting thread. I thought I was somehow reading a different article. The first sentence of the article notes an "essay that published this week" without directly citing that essay (no location or title). Interestingly, it's possible that the essay noted in the first sentence may have published itself or published something else from the way it's worded. Crafty article personification? Clean up your writing and editing, if Yahoo News is to attract new readers and be taken seriously as reliable news, the articles should be worthy not only in topic but also in written word.

    There isn't just ONE typo or mistake, the yahoo articles seem to be RIDDLED with them. the most recent example (shudder), the article about Gwen Stefani posting a "chubby" photo of herself. Within the article the author cites "ridged beauty standards". It's RIGID, how can a journalist not know simple things like this? How can this have passed the peer review QA/QC stage? Most articles have atrocious sentence structure, segments where it's obvious someone didn't finish what they were going to say, or left a word or phrase out, and so on. I mean, I realize that most of these articles are just fluff anyway, but really people, take some pride in your work.

    I have been an avid Yahoo News consumer for over a decade. I have finally reached my breaking point. The biased garbage that Yahoo publishes has reached an all-time high. The ironic part of this all lies in the fact that the comment section of the horribly-biased stories reflects how most readers truly feel; a disgust with the liberal-slanted, opinionated, and vengeful rhetoric. Your approach in attempting to discredit and smear President Trump is perhaps Yahoo’s most obvious strategy. Yahoo’s approach is genius in that one need only read the headlines to make assumptions that President Trump is the proverbial antichrist. Oh wait - Yahoo’s inherent disdain toward Christianity probably means that the term “antichrist” is part of the “fictional” religion of Christianity, so please excuse my poor choice of verbiage and forgive me if mentioning religion is offensive.

    We can take this a few steps further and point out that the liberal media that is Yahoo (Huffington Post, Vox, etc. also included) holds a 6th grade schoolgirl grudge that can only be satisfied by providing a buffet of feelings-based temper tantrums in the form of “news stories” to Yahoo users on an hourly basis. Is this the only way liberals can slowly chip away at the credibility of Republicans? Have you no honor in your work? Journalism should not be synonymous with opinion (opinion that is absent of facts critical to the validity of a story).

    The overarching theme here is that Yahoo news stories often are in the form of a white lie. In stating this, I’m saying that Yahoo purposely omits pertinent facts and arguments so as to leave the reader to believe that all facts relevant to the story have been included. If I were just a bit dumber, I think Yahoo would have groomed me into being a close-minded liberal who presents arguments predicated on feelings instead of fact. The brilliant approach Yahoo takes in slowly wearing down the stamina of readers’ information intake has revealed a long-term strategy aimed at chipping away at the credibility of anyone who does not hold liberal beliefs; be it through any stretched attempt at claiming racism, sexism, misogyny, bigotry, etc. to undermine the argument at-hand. The subtle but ruthless attempt by Yahoo writers to associate those with conflicting beliefs holds challengers in societal contempt for daring to hold differing opinions. The media is at the forefront at claiming offense to anything and everything. Because it’s easy to be the victim and we all need a cause to fight for, right? It is shameful what journalism has become and Yahoo is perpetuating this. Many of your keyboard warriors either lack a full understanding of topics they write about or they simply omit relevant information to further their political and societal agenda. I hope the latter is not the case, but I have no faith in Yahoo at this point.

    The average person relies on what Yahoo refers to as “news” to formulate their political views. As a citizen who loves my country and is open to healthy debate on any topic, my hope is that Yahoo begins reporting ALL relevant facts for each story instead of banking on your readers to lack an understanding of the topic presented topics. I will not wait around for this to happen. Money talks and Yahoo is in the business of getting as many clicks as possible so advertisers will pay your salaries. Your integrity is lost when clickbait by using creative and misleading headlines earns you some extra clicks. The starving artists who call themselves journalists probably chomp at the bit to put out a story that jumps on the Trump attack train - because it’s human nature to enjoy complaining, right? And clickbait pays. The concept of taking what is reported at face value is the kryptonite of millennials like myself who prefer to operate on a expedited information delivery system which makes click-baiting the perfect tool to accomplish the art of gradual brainwashing. I especially love the new strategy of publishing articles that falsify critical facts only to issue a corrected story a few days later. This is a brilliant way to leave your readers with the initial garbage in their heads so it can sink in for a few days before you ever-so-subtly admit mistake later. I can’t think of a better way to cover your tracks. Bravo.

    In closing - people are not as dumb as Yahoo may think. This is evidenced by your comment sections which often rip apart the content of your posted articles. I find comfort in knowing that most readers have grown tired of the bias and the pettiness. Though I think Yahoo will eventually accomplish its goal of pushing independents over the fence to the liberal side in the coming election cycles, I urge you to have some decency and ethical courage to be a true journalist. If this is not possible, then I urge you “journalists” to swallow your pride and develop a skill in a different field so you can contribute to society in non-toxic, helpful way.
