  4. What part of "No self-starting videos" don't you understand?

    Using MyYahoo, I select a half-dozen articles I'm interested in reading by opening each in a new tab. This one:
    https://news.yahoo.com/building-collapses-yorks-east-village-neighborhood-police-193902457.html
    starts playing music, loudly, as soon as the tab opens. Try as I might, I could not find a Pause button to stop the video.
    Please, no self-starting videos. If I want to watch it, I know what the Play button looks like.

  5. Don't assume that I want to see ads in Spanish just because I live in San Diego!

    IP addresses don't mean that the person on the other end is a non-English speaker. I will NOT purchase goods or services from companies advertising in a language other than English.

    I'm using Firefox, which apparently made a change in the recent update that only allows me to "debug" the script (which does no good in getting the page working again), not to stop it. But there shouldn't be an unresponsive script to begin with.

  16. Locations for local news are messed up ....again

    Yahoo correctly detects my location, but the local news is for places 25-100 miles away. We have LOTS of REAL local news outlets in Kansas city, without having to read stuff from little Podunk towns all over Kansas!

    I keep setting the "fewer like this" button" and "x ing" out the category but it keeps giving me stories what I do not want. This morning a full 1/4 stories I do not want.
