I want to READ articles, NOT WATCH videos
I click on articles to READ them NOT WATCH them. I am sick of clicking on a text headline online to be taken to a video. If you offer it in video, offer it in text too!! If I click on a headline and it takes me to a video I immediately close it.

Give me the option of watching or not watching the video, stop cramming it down our throats.

I want to READ the article. There are several reasons I don't want a video:
- One location where I use Yahoo has a slow internet connection. The video goes gup gup gup instead of playing.
- In another location, I can;'t have the sound on. The video is useless without the sound.
- When you include a video, you oft3en also include a rotating video play system. I HATE THAT. Don't leave the page while I am typing a comment.

Yes, a lot of us like to read the article instead of listen to some random news person. If you are going to keep the video make it not auto play. Some of us read an article in quiet places and do not want that to play.

I can actually read faster than a reporter searching for adjectives to embellish a story

Some of us actually still not only know how to read, but actually enjoy it. Please knock it off with the video reports that are not marked as such. I do click on some videos of my choosing. However, if a headline interests me but the link takes me to a video without identifying it as a video in the link, I close the page immediately. Not only do I go elsewhere for that information, but I also don't see whatever advertising was on your page. Now explain to me how it benefits Yahoo to have users go elsewhere AND avoid their advertizing.

Just take us directly to the article, not to another page with a video and a link to 'Read more' that takes us to ANOTHER page.

Right there with you. I too instantly close the "article" if a video appears. I want to READ an article not watch some video when I click on an article's headline link.
