GO BACK TO OLD FORMAT!!!!!

Without comment history option offered at each article, no way to keep track on responses to comments. The new format removing comment history means Yahoo choose to take away my reason to read the news at Yahoo or use Yahoo at all.
Already set up alternative e mail address and rarely read the news at Yahoo anymore because of this new format and the removal of comment history. A comment from a formal regular reader and poster at Yahoo. -

I will be moving on if Yahoo doesn't can the new format and soon. The compelling reason to visit Yahoo was the sometimes interesting discussions regarding news, sports, whatever... Now, you can't continue any discussions. I am done after being on Yahoo since 1999.

And another thing. That stupid short summary of an article we are forced to see before we see the full article itself--an annoying and unnecessary additional step--is itself often full of garbled characters and nonsense words; words crammed together meaninglessly; and just pure gibberish. What is the matter with you people? Do you have chimpanzees doing your development work? I mean, your News section is in the process of being converted from an excellent, well-functioning service into a total disaster. What is the matter with you people? Who asked you to destroy such a great system with some of the worst, non-functioning features imaginable?

There are multiple failures in your News comment system. I no longer see the "My Comments" link. That link is very valuable, and it degrades the quality of your service to remove it. Why would you do that, since no one likes it? Also, there are other failures in the system. When people reply to a comment I have made, I find I can no longer SEE those replies; there is just a non-working link that indicates how many replies there were. If I click on it, all I see is an empty reply input box. Useless! And then I do not always get notification when a "like" or reply has occurred. Also, the "See More Comments" link at the bottom of a page of comments does not seem to actually work any longer. Honestly, this change of format--FOR WHICH NO ONE ASKED, BY THE WAY--is a functional disaster. You have done everything that system developers are encouraged NOT to do: introduce a system that is markedly inferior to what it is replacing; introduce a system without user input; introduce a system that is full of malfunctions and operational bugs; and make it very difficult for actual users to let you know how disappointing and non-functional your new system really is. THIS IS A DISGRACE ON YOUR PART, YAHOO!

Redesigned comments section is horrible. Return it to its full functionality.

I don't understand it.Is there a computer program receiving the endless complaints about not being able to comment on YAHOO news? I don't have much contact with people and I look forward to people making comments about my own;good or bad.WHY?

Yahoo's change to the news article section and access to comments must be a cruel April Fool joke!

Your recent change of the News comment format is totally broken. How am I supposed to follow a conversation when my comments are NOT accessible?

You have the #1 news site on the net. Why in the world would you change it like this. It's awful. The reason it was #1 was because the old format was eye friendly, easy to sKim through, easy to use and it was interactive. This garbage now is going to sink yahoo news well bellow Google news and the other sites. Whoevers idea this was should be fired. And if a bunch of people sat around a table and said this sounds like a good idea.......they should be fired too

The new format, with no way to go to old posts, no way to see what a commenter has put on other threads - it's AWFUL. @Yahoo - I know that people have told you this, what are you going to do about it?

I might try to stick out this change and wait for improvements if it wasn't for the loss of the "My comments" link.
The loss of the ability to fully interact and check out replies on old comment threads on the boards is too much.
I think I will be looking for a new place for not-too-left, not-too-right "news" with a comment section like the old one here.

Also, it now seems to be impossible to contact Customer Support, an issue which also needs to be fixed, badly.
