Quit having me click twice or more!
When I click an article to read, I don't want to have to click another link to 'read more'. Why do you think I clicked the link in the first place, to hopefully have to click more links? I immediately leave the page and never look back. Same with a full page ad, I just close the browser window and move on. If you want readers to stay on your site maybe you could make it easier without the annoyance of redundant clicking.

I'm about to quit using yahoo.com for 2 reasons - 1. having to click on a link to go to a partial article then having to click another link to get to the full article - this is just plain stupid! 2. The back function usually does not take you back to the prior page, rather it takes to some other page at random. This happens on multiple browsers and on multiple computers. Taken together these are making yahoo.com darn near useless and unusable.

Agree with everyone else. I get that Yahoo is probably getting paid for every click, but can't you somehow write a code to get the same profit for eliminating one of the clicks?

Since it's likely that the Supervising Manager of Managing Supervisors in Yahoo's Department of Redundancy Department is yawning & rolling his/her eyes over these posts, I'm off to MSN for my daily news.

Found this thread because Im fed up with clicking twice on every link to read an article. I have used yahoo for 15 years or more as my home page. But
1. this double clicking to read an article is driving me nuts.
2. In addition, its slowing my browsing.
3. The new format in the finance section is also slower loading than the older version.
4. News items are no longer dated - 5 days ago, 23 days ago, last month.... pretty useless information. I can work out how old an article is all by myself if it has a date.
5. To find older articles on a stock market ticker, I have to keep waiting for the bottom of the page to reload again and again and again. How is that improving my browsing experience?Seriously, as a loyal user for all these years, I am sorry to say this, but I am changing my home page to msn.com until yahoo fixes things. The Yahoo browsing experience has become painful.

Agree with everyone else, would like to say this is the dumbest thing Yahoo has ever done, but they have done so many stupid things its hard to rank. But this is certainly very annoying, if I click a link to read a story, take me to the story, not another link.........................easy peasy.

If I click on a story, then I want to read it - clicking "read more" a second time is just irritating and time consuming. I've started getting my news from MSN.com now instead.

I totally agree with others who have commented on this infuriating feature of Yahoo. At least open the "Read More" content on the same page rather than another tab that's added to all the other tabs a person may already have open. My reaction is the same as 'dm' and others, I refuse to click the Read More link and just go to another News source to read the stories. This one thing is causing me to begin my news update anywhere but Yahoo.

For the love of God fix this ****. Even stories that have Yahoo as the home source you're still required to click twice. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea? Or is it just a shady way to show more traffic than is actually there?

I completely agree. The small preview is driving me nuts. Not only it is it annoying to click twice, but simply more time wasted trying to get to an article.

Completely agree. I used to go to Yahoo every day to read the stories. Now it's too much effort and aggravating. I'm looking for another source for interesting stories other than Yahoo.
