Put back comment section
When yahoo took the comment section away it took my reason for using yahoo as a news source. Yahoo articles make no sense sometimes and the comment section has the condensed version of the article. The comment section always gave difference perception of the article. And it was funny as all get out. It was my daily laughter. Add a ignore/block button like FB has if this has become an issue.

Verizon/Yahoo make their money threw clicks on their content , so now that the did away with comments I will not click on any of their articles and deprive them of a pay check . Anyone reading this should do the same .

just for the record people, they have been testing the new comment section in the lifestyle section of yahoo for quite some time now, why not go try it out, then take the survey and give your opinion on how to improve it if you want it back across all of yahoo. just sayin......

So terribly written and edited articles, posing as journalism, are okay? BUT, a few disagreeable comments from random haters are what Yahoo focuses on?

I agree with Will. And at a time when so much has already been taken from us, I find this action completely unfair. Yahoo seems to be fading out of the mainstream as it is so why would you engage in such a negative action? The word "Censoring " comes to mind here. Censoring = hiding. What are you trying to hide? Is it that someone might speak truth?

totally agree with you. They are actually are censoring by denying other views. I know for a fact they are not honest and purposely misinforms the audience. That is exactly the reason why I am now responding to this comment. I hope they hear what we have to say and stop the one-sided news and let the audience call on their lies. Otherwise, yahoo news will be history.

Thank you for removing the Comments Section. About all that it did was to show how ignorant some people can be, regardless of their political affiliation. The section added nothing of value to the article to which it was attached, and quite often was completely off-subject. Read more than one news source to obtain your information about what is happening in the world.

So Verizon is tied in with Yaphoo. Taking away the comments I want nothing to do with any of them. Next time Verizon tries to sell me their service I will have one more reason to tell them I want nothing to do with them.

Feeling ever more voice-less. Looks to me like Yahoo wants US government by media and not by the people.

Well, I see that no matter how many people show their dismay for Yayhoo taking out the comment section, they won't put it back. Why is that? I'm pretty sure it's because they don't want anyone with an opinion from the "other side" to be able to explain their point of view. Yayhoo has joined Twitter, Facebook and the others to try and silence anyone and everyone from the right. Free speech, the foundation of America, is no longer free. I'm willing to bet that every one of the Yahoo editors is a Democrat and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. They think they know better and we should all think the same way.
America is about thinking for yourself and being able to have your own opinion. You should be ashamed of yourselves for using your technological power to silence others' opinion.

Hmm.. One of the most informative parts of reading the news is the "Comments" by the Readers. We really miss reading other folk's opinions and discovering their feelings about these things. All very entertaining. So lets bring them back...O.k.?

Main stream media was so afraid of loosing their fake news outlets that they cut off comments so that they could get biden Harris elected

Agree completely. It was interesting to watch the conversation between when some one goes off on a tangent and starts to twist the facts. The other readers will try to get then back on track, and if that fails, force them to leave the conversation.

Why delete one of the few remaining areas for real people to express their opinions? It seems like we are now living in George Orwell's 1984 world.

I spent years making comments and replies that I wanted to keep as a journal record. Are these comments gone forever?
