Put back comment section
When yahoo took the comment section away it took my reason for using yahoo as a news source. Yahoo articles make no sense sometimes and the comment section has the condensed version of the article. The comment section always gave difference perception of the article. And it was funny as all get out. It was my daily laughter. Add a ignore/block button like FB has if this has become an issue.

Yahoo took away the comment section for one reason. To silence those who object to their standards, beliefs, and political views. Yahoo tends to post more stories that bash President Trump or highlight him in a negative way. When people comment on the story, either for it or against, it's a form of communication. Sometimes these comments literally puts the writer or publisher to shame, and calls out what is actually "Fake News." Removing the ability to make comments stops that from happening. Now they can post anything they want without being "Fact-Checked" by its readers. What you see now is one sided. Yahoo is biased, and they are censoring America.

Where are those "improvements" in the comment section of the news? And the results of that survey? User opinion for what? ONE MONTH has passed and they haven't even bothered to clarify anything. They even removed our comment history, banned our history, and not even yahoo bothered to give advance notice. I have lost a great friend, with whom for three years we shared very good moments. I am devastated, very sad, I cannot even get my friend back, they did not notify us of the closure and we lost the opportunity to facilitate a contact. I have not stopped consulting at all hours, every day, if at some point the comments were activated, if yahoo gave me an answer, but nothing .. It's over, and I have lost my great friend forever.

I am "self isolating" because having lung disease is a death sentence if I get Covid19. The "Comments" section is one of the few ways I could interact with other people. Very disappointed it has been discontinued, especially during this election.

Reestablish the ability of Readers to submit their comments for the publics viewing with respect to all news articles provided on/by Yahoo. This request has been made by an overwhelming number of readers but you continue to disregard the public cry for the right and ability to comment. IT IS A CENSORSHIP THAT REEKS OF BEING POLITICALLY MOTIVATED ,

Some of the ridiculous stories that make it to headlines on Yahoo need to have a comment section. I have filled out my last survey regarding the comments and read my last story on this site.

The comments were the best part of articles. If they go then so do many users including me. Put the comment section back.

I wish I could write what ever I want and feel and not have to listen to the other point of view or criticism. 90% of your writers and articles are one sided and presented that way with no recourse. Are you afraid of your writers feelings getting hurt when they find out others don't agree with their point of view or they didn't really research the subject they are writing about. I'm guessing these same writers are against giving grades to students and believe in participation trophies. You have had a ton of negative feedback in regards to taking away the "comments" ability and you still haven't gone back to allowing it again?? You aren't listening or don't care.

Agree, this 'survey' has run long enough. Bring back the Comments section, Yahoo. By the way, I've already changed most of my e-mails to a non-Yahoo address. Will cancel Yahoo if comments don't come back.

I don't see why they can't put comments back once you do their survey.

I'll just be checking my mail and WON'T be clicking on any stories. There are plenty of other sites that have much better journalists. The only thing that distinguished yahoo was the comments. Buh bye.

Time to bring back the comments or post an explanation as to why you've removed them.

Checking in again and still the comments are nowhere to be seen. Maybe I'll check back in tomorrow night...

Put the comments back now. Removing them without a clear reason why and a return date is just going to cause more people to leave the site for good. From what I understand that could help end Yahoo for good.

Just stopped in to see if the comments were back...Nope. So since I can only infer the meaning of Yahoo articles I will go back to the Washington Post for my news.
I'll try back next week...maybe.
