Rejecting of comments
Telling someone that their comment was meanspirited, should have not resulted with a rejection to post. There are some insulting and demeaning comments that definitely should have been rejected, but weren't. But, Hey Yahoo, it's your platform! I'm out!
Hello. While we cannot speak about specific comments, policy interpretations, or actions action in relation to specific comments outside of with their original poster, we seek to apply the Yahoo Community Guidelines as evenly, fairly, and objectively as possible.

why are my comments not posted? i only get this: "Your comment failed to publish:" is it because i don't agree with a lot of yahoo!'s views? that sounds a lot like censorship... just sayin'!

Every time I've posted on a comment on a news piece about trump/maga/gop it's rejected. It's happened 4 times, the latest was TODAY. There is nothing in my post that should have flagged a community guidelines infraction but yet again it has and frankly I'm sick of it. I CHOOSE to use Yahoo instead of Bing or Google, I can change that quick fast and in a hurry if this is how I'm going to be treated.

Don't be such snowflakes and ban a comment on a story because someone says "stupid" or "dumb". My gosh you guys let people bash President Trump all day with horrible comments.

Yesterday there was a news article on the passing of a NYC fireman who helped out on 9/11. A photo of him and the President was taken a few days after that horrific event. In the comment section, many made bogus claims that 9/11 was an inside job. I reported them as false information. Half of my reports were confirmed and the other half were rejected. This is not the first time that this has happened. In this coming election year, Yahoo needs to stand up if they are going to claim that they encourage a respectful online community.

Agreeing with Steve Gaines. I made a response - "Exactly" and it was rejected giving me the same reason.

Quit rejecting comments. You can have AI instantly review comments by programed for key words, but rejecting everything is ridiculous.

The moderation on your Yahoo News comments is a joke. I posted a reply to another post and my entire reply was "Thank you." You rejected the comment and said it violated your community guidelines. I can send you the email or a screenshot of the email you sent me if you don't believe it. Once again you prove why you are a bunch of Yahoos and always will be.

Yahoo hates America, if you make a comment against an enemy of the United States they reject it, Yahoo rejected two of my comments defending the military of the United States because they are afraid it might offend those in a country that wants us dead.

Some prices are up and some are down. The inflation rate did spike, due mostly to events that occurred while Donald Trump was in office but the inflation rate has come back down to near the Fed target. Crime rates increased by the most ever recorded in a single year in 2020 under Trump but have now fallen below pre-pandemic levels. Hunter Biden's laptop is real but so far they haven't found a darn thing from it linking Joe Biden to any crimes whatsoever. The jury is still out on the origins of Covid-19 but the vast majority of virologists believe it resulted from an animal spillover event. We can only hope Biden wins because Trump would be detrimental to democracy .
I need to know why this perfectly factual comment was rejected.

Your censorship is an absolute joke. No even an explanation of what caused a rejection or any contact info for clarification.

This is proof--If we can't put a bullet in Netanyahu's head, the CIA is useless and needs to be scrapped, You approved this comment, the name of an individual was used, this reply was rejected, or yours either I agree, no name was used, it is time to shut down the comment section permanently, you are not unbiased, you always side with enemies of the United States and yahoo news needs to be shut down for it.

Why exactly was this comment rejected?
Exactly what kind of research essay would a kindergarten student even produce? For the vast majority of kindergarteners writing one complete sentence is a lot of writing, so what kind of essay is the nra thinking they're going to get from a 5 year-old? -

As soon as I type even one character, the system flags my comment as inappropriate without an option to send. I haven't received any notices of prior comments being rejected, and I was posting just fine a few days ago. Is this a bug? There seems to be no way of getting assistance.

Yahoo needs to get their head out of their back side on comments on news articles. I can understand a little, but you have gone crazy.

You should fire the people charged with reviewing comments on articles to insure posts are in keeping with "community standards. Every post that I attempt to publish , none of which violate guidelines used to be tagged with "some people may be offended, blah, blah... try again . Now all I get is, "your post didn't publish, try again. I NEVER use profanity. I NEVER attack other posters. I use impeccable grammar. What I do is devote time to researching my facts, so as not to publish moronic, illogical nonsense such as " you, and any other demoRat who supports (Biden) that communist mass murderer of 820,000 Americans by having open borders during a pandemic should be shot" , or this post that is visible now that I have copy/pasted herein, that was approved and published-- "ROFL generational inbreeding has left you incapable of effectively interacting with reality, please back away from the meth pipe, put down the PBTR remove your fingers from whatever poor relative you have drugged and bound in the back of granny’s double wide and seek help." Nothing you could have possibly done could go as far toward destroying my respect for Yahoo than placing imbecilic cretins in positions of "community standards" oversight .When I think of the hours of time I put into composing posts that were not only rejected, but greyed-out so that I couldn't even copy them to use on sites that are not compromised by employees who've been hired into positions for which they are grossly unfit
