Rejecting of comments
Telling someone that their comment was meanspirited, should have not resulted with a rejection to post. There are some insulting and demeaning comments that definitely should have been rejected, but weren't. But, Hey Yahoo, it's your platform! I'm out!
Hello. While we cannot speak about specific comments, policy interpretations, or actions action in relation to specific comments outside of with their original poster, we seek to apply the Yahoo Community Guidelines as evenly, fairly, and objectively as possible.

I've notice the number of people on here have fallen. 6 months ago I would spend 3 days arguing with liberals and now I can't get into a descent argument for anything. There are fewer thumbs up, so you not only have lost conservatives but also liberal. And fewer reader means less money in revenue. So Maybe change your ways and have more articles that tell the other side of the argument. **** off the liberals and let them defend their thoughts in the comment section. After all your readership is falling, so it's time to change direction. And it is election season, the busiest time of the cycle for you.

Sadly the issue at present is OpenWeb is constantly trying to change words and meanings in their system while not letting public know where issues are. I suggest a simple solution then I will add to issues I've seen!
1. Our technology for phones to computers "underlines misspelled words". With a company that has become a Unicorn meaning reached billion dollar since 2015 could actually "use the same technology on words that are offensive or abusive."
2. The sad fact is many comments are also being blocked because of words that aren't offensive. In particular I've commented around 15 times on a certain type of small US aircraft carrier in World War II. But because the word could be used in the worlds most oldest profession the comments are removed. I try to comment about present wars but am called all sorts of great names. Sorry bad joke but they get away with abuse by using star hashtag or other special keys. I'm not built that way! I face those who are abusive. Problem is they get away with it but when I call them out I am the one who gets punished. Humm?
3. It's rather comical that I warned Yahoo on bots voting thumbs downs in 2020 that covered comments due to low reader approval. I also know now who was using the bots for Russia but they are working at a University. How I learned is they commented on Twitter how the thumbs downs should be used on twitter to do the same thing.

You have blocked me from making statements about this country being able to make weapons. When it was you in the media that started the call to send our manufacturing overseas. Starting with a Time magazine article in June of 1975 about "The High Cost Of American Labor". And now that there maybe a war coming we can't manufacture anything at the rate we would need. And that is because you sold it all out. But to block me, because you scrood up and didn't send the office jobs overseas and not the manufacturing is just Hypocritical of you to block it. Infact it is the biggest new that should be out there right now with all the troubles in the world we find ourselves in. And the reason is your Corporate bosses don't want the blame for what they did.

Whatever you are using to screen is nuts. IDK if you automatically dump posts that people don't like (agree with) or you have an AI that is just overboard on everything. I have not had posts rejected for years and I am careful about how I post. Now they are regularly rejected. FIX IT.

Why are my comments "failing to publish." Surely a comment like "love, love, love her" is NOT in any way "offensive." None of my comments are publishing. At least have the decency to tell me why. I'm a big girl!

I have written the following opinion here which was rejected about the Trump trial: "Look, the Telegraph is a conservative outlet!? Nuf said... But this article should be re-titled to "The trial is a disgrace for the orange sociopath and former president. Not for "America". Trump is BY FAR not America and he will NEVER BE!! But what he is, is: a crook, a conman, a liar, a psychopath, a violent thug, a ******, and a racist! Lets just keep these "very basic" FACTS in check here. -- There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this statement. In fact IT IS ALL TRUE!!!! And not allowing me to say this is a DISGRACE to your useless, propaganda organization!!! I will NEVER use your services again!!!

I can't even post the word "test" without it being rejected and you won't even give me a reason for this happens. I requested to be contacted many, many times and it never happens, this is not the way to treat you customers.

I find it to be outrageous that you rejected my comment. This comment could have helped thousands. There is no violation of community guidelines.
I had undiagnosed TIAs (temporary strokes) for 40 years, every 5 years or so. Went to the emergency room for a few of them; they just sent me home since I was recovering. Finally had a more damaging stroke, then another. Recovered fully after a few months, but they finally found a hole in my heart between the upper two champers, a PFO. Had the hole fixed, now a common procedure, and I have had no further occurrences for the past 10 years. Conclusion: if you have even one TIA, make them check for a PFO. Checking is a simple ultrasound procedure.

I agree. I have given up reading and commenting on Yahoo stories. Even if I comment with, "yes, I agree" or "no" I AM CENSORED. Every comment I make comes with a message saying, "your comment failed to publish". I thought it was a temporary thing, but evidently not and there is no place to ask anyone "in charge" about it. Therefore I will find another site to read my news and will only check my email here. See ya!

I've posted actual, documented fact and regularly been rejected. There are no swear words, just reality. Why are they rejected? Personal bias from the censors. They don't even have the guts to explain why an appeal was rejected as they can't justify their decisions.

I don't visit Yahoo very much since Yahoo blocked me from commenting. Your censors have blocked me. I was considering using Yahoo as my start page, allow ads and allow ads in my mail. Your politically activist censors with poor understanding of the English language changed my mind.

Well, I have had comments with a word or two, in all caps rejected out of hand. The words were not
"mean" "foul" nor anything of the kind. I went back and changes the case of those words and they passed to be posted. THAT is BS....... Not only that, many times, comments that have been "hard" to get the point across, yet not foul nor threatening or whatever has been treated the same. Now if it is a bot doing a lot of your checking, it certainly needs to be discontinued or tuned to be far more forgiving. If you have Live moderators, and they are reject someones work, have them say why, and not just leave it to their desire or leave the arrogance of the "Community Guidelines" being abused line. -

Hey censors, nothing against community guidelines in this post. It is a response to someone that said Trump draped the white house in the N*** flag. That flag draped over the White House was from 2012. "The editor of Ami Magazine acknowledged in this week’s edition that the cover of last week’s issue depicting the White House draped in N*** flags with N*** storm troopers marching in front “was insensitive at best.”
The appeal was rejected.
YOU DON'T TELL PEOPLE WHY POSTS ARE REJECTED
IT'S MORE THAN LIKELY A BUTT HURT CENSOR ABUSING THEIR POSITION.
EXPLAIN WHAT ABOUT IT IS AGAINST COMMUNITY GUIDELINES OR START FIRING THE IMBECILES THAT REJECT LEGITIMATE POSTS. -

Why does it appear that, recently, controversial topics aren't posted in the news article's lede until commenting has been closed? You are alienating about half your readership. It leaves me with the impression that you are afraid of your propaganda being challenged with facts that the articles leave out. You may 'win' short-term, but ultimately lose the war because people will come to mistrust Yahoo. The best approach is honesty and balance, which is sorely lacking.

I don't agree that you are applying the Community Guidelines "evenly, fairly, and objectively as possible." I have had innocuous, civil comments rejected without explanation. How can readers learn what is acceptable if we don't get feedback? I'm left with the impression that many times the only criteria is that editors disagree with my viewpoint.
