  1. Your Local news coverage sucks

Before this new version I actually got local news. Now the "local" news is from another state. I live in NC not SC. There is actually a difference between the 2 states. You no longer have any feeds from Mountain Express, or the Asheville Citizen Times. You have "local" news from tv stations and papers more than 100 miles away. You blow big greasy chunks now. I will be switching to a new home page.

  2. Proof Read Headlines

Proof read headlines. I get spelling errors in the text but someone got lazy with the John Kerry story regarding Tel Aviv.

  4. Please include floridatoday.com in the local news section for Brevard County, Florida.

Florida Today does not show up in my local news section on Yahoo. They are the local news source for Brevard, not the Sentinel or WESH, which are based in Orlando. It covers, Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Titusville, etc. All cities in Brevard.

  5. Why are my comments (Mrs. USA) attributed to "Commenter"? Please correct them.

Keep your comments attributed correctly. I am Mrs. USA, not 'Commenter'. Doesn't even make sense that Commenter answers Commenter. I am one of LeBron's white grandmothers and I love him dearly. Always have. Are you too prejudiced to accept it?

  6. check that local news is from the town named, and not a similarly named town in a different state, and let us correct it if you got it wrong.

I have a town listed in Ct.however the news I get is from a similarly named town in N.J.,
While I'm sure it is a fine place, N.J. is not Ct., and the local news is different.
Make sure the news put on a local news spot is from the place requested or give us a way to correct it if it is not..

  7. Locations for local news are messed up ....again

Yahoo correctly detects my location, but the local news is for places 25-100 miles away. We have LOTS of REAL local news outlets in Kansas city, without having to read stuff from little Podunk towns all over Kansas!

  8. The Weather and My Location for Local news are not right. Please fix this.

The Weather section always shows Sunnyvale, CA. I live in Wisconsin. Get the Weather in the news page to show the correct location of the user. Also in Local news, it doesn't come up right away with my location. I have to click on it separately in the "Change Location" section.

  10. Update "Local" news links

The links to my local newspaper's stories under "Local" news is rarely updated. I see the same old links on there day after day.

  12. Hmmm... the page you're looking for isn't here. Try searching above.

When going to the news story "Mississippi Tea Party leader dead in apparent suicide" listed in the headlines of Yahoo!'s main news page, the story fails to load and returns to the Yahoo! Home Page with a message advising "the page you're looking for isn't here." The URL to the news story is:

    http://news.yahoo.com/mississippi-tea-party-leader-mark-mayfield-dead-apparent-154020451.html

  13. Too many ads. Each page takes too long to load because you have ads everywhere. Sometimes less is more.

Cut down on the amount of information on each page. Your pages continuously refresh and have ads everywhere making it a pain to navigate. Less is more.

  15. How can I read the news stories and then go back to where I was in the feed, ex. stories 6-10, instead of all the way back to the beginning.

How can I read the news stories and then go back to where I was in the feed, ex. stories 6-10, instead of all the way back to the beginning. I used to be able to do that. Now, when I get to story 56-60, I don't want to read the story because when I go back to the main page, it takes me back to the very beginning. Is this just a settings fix or something? Please help.

  18. Plenty of errors, the Europe News is mixed with the Middle East

Plenty of errors, the Europe News is mixed with the Middle East
pages of Europe contain American news items, no one is in charge, the News pages have the feel of college level newspaper, a very off handed, mindless, flaky attitude, mixing stupid and mindless items with serious world events, relying on notoriously questionable Lefty sources with a bias. It all looks as if management takes it all for granted, as if surfers got no where else to go, but is it true?

  19. I can't read video text at the bottom of the screen because the advertisements cover them.

When I watch a video that has text at the bottom of the screen (i.e. a persons name) I can't read the text because the pop-up advertisements cover them. When I go to close the advertisements, the other Yahoo video pop-up from the right side and prevent me from being able to close the advertisements. Can you have your pop-up stuff come from the left side or move the "X" to close the advertisements to the left side?

  20. Sorry, we are having trouble connecting right now. Please try again.

On all comments on news stories. A lot of people are double- and triple-posting because they don't think their comments are coming through. Also unable to see one's own comments when clicking on "my comments.". Please fix.
