Where is the news
There is a big fire on the west coast - where some of my family resides and there is not one story on it, just someone's opinion on something that really does not matter!!! Where is the real news???
-
Sane editing needed. Put essential stories first in categories with a way to go to extended news.
Editors make a valuable contribution to the news. Once upon a time you had 5 top articles from various categories--national--international--politics--science--etc. and a way to go deeper for those interested. Now you have a chaotic mix of gossip and trivia, sports and opinion along with the news. Human interest articles are good at times--but when my time is limited the chaos is appalling.

Mixed Martial Arts includes only UFC...why is that?
Why must I visit other sites in order to read about mixed martial arts outside of the UFC?

More neutral articles (like a Reuters), global articles, and less echo chambers based on searches or articles clicked on.
I am concerned that the Yahoo format is reinforcing biases of those reading the news instead of providing neutral and consistent information to its users. I believe that this way of relaying the news is causing further divisiveness because users are receiving inconsistent information from other, causing their positions to be in conflict. There are news sources like Reuters that provide information about what is happening in the world in a neutral way without enforcing biases, which may be a more productive model for Yahoo News.

Re Vatican and ****** abuse of children
Investigate the rate of incest in families and close friends. The issue would have never come out it if hadn't been for Catholic survivors insisting for decades. NCReporter reported regularly since 1985. Also investigate why the APA (psychiatrists) are still refusing after 30 years to recognize trauma in childhood (Developmental Trauma) For many years they were saying childhood memories of *** with adults were a fantasy --and that the children wanted it. They still have not acknowledged their error despite thousands of survivors speaking up of their lifelong distress.

I tried to write something but am getting "an error has occurred. I am within guidelines & 1st time posting. Why can't I post?
If you arbitrarily disallow a post, you should say why so we don't do it again.

Unsubscribe
I unsubscribed to your news email because I am sick of your biased news. It's not even just the fact that it is biased, your writers actually inject personal views by making fun or encouraging bias.

get the flu
I think it would be a good idea for the air traffic controllers to get the flu on a given day. Bet that would draw the world's attention to our government shut down.

How about Yahoo actually enforce their terms of service?
There are set rules that Yahoo has defined that all users agree to follow in exchange for using the Yahoo services. Sadly, abuse of those rules is rampant. No matter how many times a violation is reported, nothing is EVER done about it.
So either enforce the rules, or just toss them into the bit bucket.

Hello, I have been a Yahoo! email user for over 15 years. I am very weary of reading the negativity towards our president on the news page.
It would be a huge pain for me to change email providers. You could say that I could just stop reading the negative headlines, or I could say I will just change providers.
Thank you for an otherwise great service. -
Revoke "Partner" status
Revoke "Partner" status. This refers to pubx.co, absolutehistory.com and others who, I suspect, have paid to be exempt from user criticism

Why do you allow ads like this to pop up in the news feed as though they are real?:
Why do you let ads like this pop up on your news feed as though they were real?
They pop up with different celebrities as a tease. It’s always a fake come-on to see about some ED treatment.
C’mon guys - you are better than this!

Regarding submissions of comments.
Quit being so despotic & autocratic about "comment content". You feature an article about General Motors phasing out some Cadilac vehicle models; and creating new ones. I went to the Comments section below the main article. I tried to enter a written comment; but my comment entry was denied. You appear to want to deny me, my
Constitutional rights. Freedom of Speech (by commenting) Freedom of Choice (by using Yahoo; as an internet site.) : & maybe one or two others, too. I don't see much fairness or equity, in how you handle the
submission of comments.
