  2. Don’t suspend or threaten to suspend the comments section like you’re doing now. Allow it be a forum.

The comments are a forum on the article. Yes, people can have strong opinions and offend others, that is called reality. Disallowing opinions is never the right thing to do but Yahoo seems to threaten doing just that when the majority of comments do not favor the articles found on Yahoo News.

  3. Honesty

If you are going to print only far left socialist stories exclusively, and remove the ability to respond for honest, hard working Americans, you have just become communist and need to be removed from the internet.

  5. Put back the comments section before the november election

It's a shame Yahoo can't even hide the real reason they took away the comments and admit why they actually did this.

I can almost guarantee right after the election ends that the comment section will be back up within one week after the election.

  6. Fix the Science section

When is Yahoo going to fix the Science section? Bring back the old format. The new format is horrible, and the stories aren't even about science - they are all political. Somebody really screwed up!

  7. Bring back comments.

I am leaving Yahoo News now. I access Yahoo news several times a day. I will not be back until comments are restored. Politico is good too, maybe better than YN.

  10. Allow comments!

You disabled the comments because they didn't fit your liberal agenda. Your website has become nothing more than trash.

  11. Comment sections have become like a Trump re-election campaign

Lots of stories have obvious trolls to sway the "conversation" a certain direction, like the recent stories of unlawful detainment/arrests where people are being taken from the streets of Portland by unnamed/unmarked "officers"/people and not read their rights, etc. with commenters supporting this, including replies to those people. This is dangerous promotion of anti-democratic ideals and is something to consider if comments are to remain a part of the site.

  15. Bring back comments section. it was the most interesting part of your posts.

Many of your articles contain questionable or inaccurate info. The comments section allows rebuttals or discussions so folks are not just exposed to one writers often liberal biased or often patently untrue posts.

  20. Before Yahoo considers closing your comments capability to stories you run, ask yourselves what is gained by stopping free expression?

The architect of the Constitution, recognized the importance of "FREE SPEECH"! They guaranteed it as an article of the Bill of Rights! We live in a controversial world! Everyone is never going to agree with every comment in any forum! But surrendering to few who are offended, by closing down FREE SPEECH and expression, goes against Americas basic foundations, and backs us up several centuries!!!!!!
