i should be able to drop a player even if he has already played today.
Allow me to drop a player who has already played today. His stats should count since I have him active but I should have the ability to drop him for tomorrow regardless if he's played. I am trying to move a player from my DL to my bench but can't make any moves right now because all my players have played today and are locked. My league plays with continuous waivers set for everyday with transactions set for Today.
I cannot even change the day on my roster page to tomorrow and drop a player. This needs to be reworked as I can't make any roster moves until tomorrow and if I want to add a player I can't accomplish that until two days from now. This is a huge disadvantage.
I should be able to drop a player today, so I can set my roster for tomorrow and ideally still be able to put in a waiver claim today that will process tomorrow.
Please find fix for this!!

I added an issue for essentially the same thing before I saw this. The root problem is that waivers process overnight, which is technically the next day. Therefore, Daily - Tomorrow doesn't work for next day usage. We went with Daily - Today but it does have the limitation of restricting you once players have played. You should be able to drop someone in a waiver claim at any time during the day and the claimed player should be available on the same day he is claimed.

@anonymous - the problem with using Daily - Tomorrow is that you cannot pick up any player the morning before games start and play them that same day, which is the entire point of using Daily - Today.
Daily - Today should function as it does, but if a player has already played, the roster changes will be effective the next day. That type of functionality is a standard across many fantasy leagues/sports. It isn't hard to do. Yahoo should fix it.

no reason not to allow drops anytime. there are a lot of stupid things in free leagues that are not issues in pro leagues. continue to complain because this is really stupid. i guess it is their way to try and get you to their site every day.bs

Yahoo should look into tweaking this. I'm sure this is the rule to prevent gaming the system but with how far we've come in tailoring daily fantasy platforms there's got to be a fair compromise that will give daily-today leagues the ability to set up roster moves so that the league isn't cheated, but a manager doesn't have to wait two days to make a roster add. Yahoo has the ability to make a change.
Does Yahoo listen though?
"...that won't happen" just maybe the correct response. -

You are wanting features of both daily - today and daily - tomorrow mixed together.
I can tell you that won't happen.

Thanks for the response. I'll check at midnight PST to see if I can make the desired moves.
But I posted because I want Yahoo! to change the way the handle this scenario because they should be able to find a middle ground so it doesn't cost me today and tomorrow to move some one from the DL, never mind if I also want to add a player because I can't add a player until I move the DL player to an active roster spot or the bench.

If your league is daily - today, you can't drop a player once his game for today has started. You have to wait until midnight Pacific time to drop him.
If you want to do what you describe, you need to be in a daily - tomorrow league
