Enough with the 90s stat cats... lets add some saber-metric stat cat!

Catchers have tons of defensive stats that can be added.

Walks allowed plus hits allowed as a pitching category

My long term dynasty league does as best it can to reflect real player value but it is difficult with the stats offered. I would like to see stats like WAR, FIP and other advanced metrics made available, or at least the component stats and math behind them (perhaps in a points system). Ideally this would still function in H2H format.

I know XBH is a category....but that includes HRs. Im in a league that used to have 2B and 3B as separate categories but now has removed 3B because they're so few and far between...but now doesn't make sense that you are rewarded for 2B and not 3B

I agree on those wholeheartedly. I currently do a H2H Points league, because I hate putting value in players whose only contribution is steals, but I am trying to make a 7x7 league and I don't want all counting category stats on offense because that creates this offensive 'Streaming' where you are rewarded for plugging in steal monsters. I would like a ratio based category that isn't fueled by average. ISO would be the PERFECT category because now players like ketel marte who are really horrible are valuable because their ability to hit XBH's are muted. Also players who walk a lot and hit XBHs but not HRs are hurt by a standard 5x5 league. Please add ISO I think it would be great.

This is a stat category I would like to see as well!

I'm almost positive these stats require human scorers. This certainly won't work with live stats, and possibly won't be easy to compile overnight.
Also, some of these stats come from non-Yahoo sites. For example, UZR uses Baseball Info Solutions data.
Frankly, accurate and available comprehensive defensive stats won't be available until StatCast is released to the public.

Would be more fun to have leagues with different scoring Stats set up. Make every single hitters and pitchers attribute count to the minimum. Instead of just 5 from batting and 5 pitching, Pro Leagues should have more options and formats so we could get to choose from. For example:
Batting:
Runs, Hits, Doubles, Triples, HRs, RBIs, BB, K, AVG, OBP, Net Stolen BasePitching:
Wins, Losses, Complete Game, Hits, Earned Runs, BB, K, ERA, Whip, Quality Starts, and Net SaveAlso, have different options for Minimum of innings required, not just 7.

Wouldn't mind seeing some new defensive stat options to track like Total Zone, RZR, UZR or Defensive runs saved or +/-

I remember back in my day when we walked through the 2 feet of snow and up hill to school every morning... And we still had Net Wins.

No "Net Wins" cat?! Bunch of amateurs if you ask me.

It's crazy that yahoo doesn't offer net wins. I feel like I'm using an abacus and my friends at CBS are using TI-89s :(

I think this category should be really easy to build. It is just a simple subtraction. It would really benefit the legitimacy of yahoo fantasy sports
