Fantasy Baseball 2017 Season: FEATURE WISH LIST
Hey Yahoo and fantasy players!
Happy New Year! It's almost that time of the year again!
I'm just creating this post and posting a few features that we would hope to have when the new season begins. Please add any other features you'd like to see in the comments. This way feature requests are all organized in one big thread and easier for Yahoo to review maybe.
Roster maximum size of 40-45 players for custom/private leagues - nowadays more people play in dynasty leagues and the current max of 30 is too small. 40 would be ideal.
Stat category: Catcher throwout %
-I think it would be a good defensive category that gives some attention to catchers.Stat category and roster position: Manager (position) and Challenge success rate (stat category)
-just like we have team def in football, how about a manager roster position and a challenge success rate or % for managers as a stat category. Some managers like Chicago Cubs Joe Maddon are really good at picking the right time and winning challenges. I think this would be a fun roster position and stat category to add. After all, this is "fantasy." You guys added punters to fantasy football so how about Managers? Would be nice if this was at least an option is custom/private leagues.Customizable playoffs for custom/private leagues with divisions: Would be awesome if we could customize seeding in leagues with divisions so say in a 12 team league of 2 divisions, the top 4 IN EACH division make the playoffs and not just top 8 overall because sometimes you get situations where one whole division is dominant and makes the playoffs which is silly. ESPN allows this customization so Yahoo having this would be awesome too.
this is more general and applies to all fantasy sports but can we get more choice and better default team logos? The current ones have not changed in like forever...

Keeping with the "Manager" idea, how about a manager stat that rewards points when that manager's MLB team gets a win that day? I played in a FF league that had that and it was a nice twist.

Just like D/ST in football, why not have team pitching? It'll make drafting quicker, teams easier to manage, but not take the fun or the strategy out of it.

2 week playoff duration option.
Would like to have the option to make all rounds of the playoffs be 2 weeks in duration.

Better default team logos with more choices! That should be a simple one to do, I really like that idea!

greenraven1, in my leagues I just created a PTBNL rule. Basically these guys stay on the rosters they are currently on till they are promoted or come off the DL then the trade has to be completed. Makes no sense to force a team(s) to cut player just to complete a trade.

Fix the recurring NA slots problems so that:
1. We can keep prospects from year to year. Right now their designation disappears when leagues re-open and they are toss onto the active roster that has to then be cut down to meet it's max limit so you either lose a prospect or a vet instead of having a true dynasty league.
2. You cannot draft, pick-up on waivers or trade NA players without moving them through an active roster slot first then pushing them down into an NA slot. Thus you always lost a player when you pick up a prospect. that sucks.
