PPD games
You should be allowed to swap out players when a game is PPD (as long as the game never started). Since there is no actual "start time", this should be treated like a teams off day. Players on your bench should be allowed to be substituted in until the start of THEIR game time

This common sense change has been on this list for years now.
Come on Yahoo... If the first pitch has not been thrown, allow substitution.

Indeed, this kills me every week as I'm not home and set my line ups in the morning.

Absolutely agree. Too many people work and make note of start times for the day and try to check in quick to make sure players are starting. PPD games throws this all off and many players in my league have made inquires since they miss out on many opportuntities.

100% needs to be changed - its maddening and nonsensical!

PPD should be able to swap!

I agree whit the comments where players, including those on your bench should not be locked until a game actually starts. In addition to PPD games, I'd include delayed starts. Other sites don't lock players early so I don't understand why this is such an issue for Yahoo. I realize Yahoo would prefer to not micromanage start times, but in the end, it's a max of 16 games/day. That's really not much to ask considering the thousands of customers if affects.

Today's Pit/Det game was postponed. I should be able to remove a player until game time and I could not. The original start time was 2:10 and I was locked from making moves at 1:30.

I'll echo this same sentiment -- great idea.

I'll second that. PPD should be able to swap

The commenters here completely missed the point. No one is saying the game isn't performing contrary to the rules. The poster, and MANY others, would like them to change the rules as an improvement to the game. Numerous times throughout the season, a game starts and then is flipped to PPD by Yahoo, so unless you were directly following the weather, or twitter, etc for that home team, you had no idea you needed to swap your guy out. And in response to that nonsense comment about double header double dipping, early in the year, the make up game is almost always moved to a mutual off day or a double header at a later date. Plus, everyone double dips double header games later in the year. It's like a late year bonus when you have guys playing two in a day. And finally, how about swapping out your player before the start time if you know a game will be rained out? That also gives you that same advantage but is somehow different?
Yahoo obviously has code in place to lock a game at the scheduled start time. It also has code in place to receive PPD data and change the start time/status to PPD. They could easily add code to then unlock those players' roster positions at that time just like any player with an off day appears. It would allow you to swap a guy for a rainout just like you would for an off day. At the very least, Yahoo being 30-60+ minutes behind the official game cancellations sometimes is frustrating.

Each game has a scheduled start time. That is the data element that is used in the Yahoo! game to determine the start of every game. The actual start time is not used.

There was a game scheduled earlier in the day between Chicago and Detroit that was PPD. The rosters locked for the day at the scheduled game time of that game.

There is nothing to fix. The rules of the game clearly state the rosters lock at the scheduled game times even if the game is PPD.
For double headers, the rule is the same. The player locks at the scheduled game time of the first game.

If a game is postponed before the teams scheduled start time (as is the case today 5/26/17 the White Sox v Tigers games were rained out hours before their scheduled start) teams should be able to sub players participating in those games out at least up to their scheduled start time. I have Abreu and Miguel Cabrera two of my best hitters paying in those PPD games and can't replace them in my lineup at 5: 45PM when the game wasn't even schedule to start until 8:10. Truly awflul! Oh and It will be **** near impossible to make these games up in my game limited rotisserie league. Very discouraged by this setting / glitch.

Really need to do something about players who have double headers and the first game becomes PPD due to weather. You need to allow people to remove that player from starting line up and allow us to change to a player who will play. Since Game #1 is cancelled due to rain, there is a HIGH chance Game #2 isn't going to happen! FIX THIS NOW PLEASE!!!!

This won't happen for multiple reasons.
Here is just 1 scenario, on Monday, you have a 3B have a game PPD, a double header is scheduled for Tuesday. After game time, you are allowed to sub a 3B on your BN for the player in the PPD game. You get a game of player stats. Tuesday, in the double header, you get 2 games of stats from the player from the PPD on Monday.
You gained a game played at 3B by being allowed to switch out players.

In many cases throughout the baseball season, players will experience weather cancellations. It would be nice to be able to replace a player who's game is canceled with a bench player that can play so long as the replacement players game hasn't started yet.
