Need to add maximum IP or limit starts per week in H2H points leagues
Need allow commish to add a MAXIMUM innings pitched or set number of starts per week.
It's too easy to win when you can stream starting pitchers in a points league (we do have a 5 transaction limit, but still need an innings max).

In any format, I'd like to set a RANGE of IP's. 30 to 40 or so would be perfect.

There is already a minimum innings pitched limit per week. Adding a maximum limit shouldn’t be too hard to add.
Our league has had to limit weekly transactions to curb streaming. But it sucks when you have to replace an injured hitter and can’t because you’re out of weekly transactions due to a rule only made to address pitching.

Y'all this needs to happen for 2020.
I agree it should be an option for leagues that wish to have it. Leagues that do not want it can set it at like 120 or something per week. Leagues that do want it can set wherever lower. It compares start to start more closely in weekly leagues rather than comparing who accumulated the most counting stats.

..i implement streaming, since it's a part of the Fantasy GAME we
play, but i can definitely see how folks who don't like the tactic
would benefit from a Max IP setting..
..that said, be prepared for highly increased prime SP demand at
the top end of the Draft, eh?..
..personally, i feel that streaming SPs encourages (or awards)
more active owners..plus, it's an option open to all, so as more
owners implement the strategy, there are fewer viable SP to
meet demand, thereby reducing the impact of a few owners
who "take advantage" (not really, since it's built into the GAME)
..still, a Max IP could help diminish the practice, as well as
providing Y!FLB Managers the opportunity to recover from a
disasterous outing by one of their primo starters..
..if you consider 7 Starters per week, averaging 6 IP (maybe
5?..those are setting the Commish should be able to set),
as well as considering RP activity, i'd think something like
60 Max IP would be reasonable..and (pls!) make it adjustable
by the Commish, as they see fit..
not for- or against-, but a decent change to permit>>
I’ve been waiting for this feature for years. Streaming is dumb imo. If you like streaming, great. But our entire league hates it and as of now, we have to govern it by the honor system because Yahoo refuses to add a simple starts/week feature.
where the vote against button?
Yes, good suggestion. Not just needed in H2H points, but H2H category leagues, too. We have a maximum number of SP starts per week (13) but it's basically just the honor system. Your competitors like Fantrax and I think CBS have this ability.
Having a 2-week championship match-up (and maybe even a 2-week semi-final) negates the advantage of the streaming strategy and makes for a fairer result too less flukes.
Streaming is a legit strategy. Start up a custom league that discourages it if you don't like it.

Came here to say this. Please add max IP this year yahoo!!
I agree. The commish should be able to put a max on starts per week for starting pitchers. People just stock up on starting pitchers and stream pitchers all week. Batters stats become meaningless.
Email me @ email@example.com. I will show you how I do it in my three leagues. Also, need a co-commish in my D-League.
Try putting negative points. I've run a point league for years with no maximum acquisitions. Bad pitchers should hurt you just as much as good pitching helps

One way to prevent streaming is to allow the commissioner to require a minimum amount of hitters and pitchers.
If the league allows up to 23 players on a team. The commissioner can determine how many hitters and pitchers of that 23 players have to be rostered on a team.
Example if a team can have up to 23 players on a team. 13 of those 23 players have to be hitters and 12 have to be pitchers.
Or require teams to have a mandatory starter for each position for every game.

our h2h points league has become nothing but a streaming SP league. Yahoo needs to come up with a rule to prevent streaming. as it is now, whoever streams the most, wins. perhaps a maximum innings rule would take care of the situation. i enjoy playing points baseball as long as mindless streaming is prohibited.
