Lock eliminated Teams
Ok, you have a setting for LOCK ELIMINATED TEAMS which I think does not really do what it should be doing. ANY team that is in the consolation round basically has no shot at first place so they should be LOCKED. Why is this logic so hard for Yahoo programmers to understand? We had this same issue last year and posed the same question then and here I am again repeating myself. It is a joke. So we just had a team in the consolation round who should be locked add a player on waivers.
Advising commissioners to contact yahoo to lock teams is also a joke. Because
1. Its challenging to contact live yahoo support.
2. If you send an email yahoo they respond with an real email like this
Thank you for contacting Yahoo Customer Care. This is Jamie, and I understand you want some teams locked in your league. I would be happy to help you with this.
You're correct, the default setting - and the setting that is on in your league - is to lock eliminated teams. Teams that are playing in a consolation bracket are not technically eliminated, they're still competing for a position in the league. So they will not be locked by that setting.
I asked to lock eliminated team and specialist did not do it.
Heres another email
Thank you for getting back to us.
You can manually lock teams once they are eliminated from your playoff bracket and are playing in your consolation bracket. You can do this in commissioner tools> lock teams. You can choose the teams you want locked and what they will not be able to do anymore like add and drop players. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused in the past.
I have provided a link to your lock teams page here.
Thanks again for contacting Yahoo Fantasy Sports! If you have any other questions, comments or concerns, feel free to contact us.
