Rosters - Requests for new roster positions
Requests for new roster positions such as IL+.

How is PPD due to Covid any different than being PPD for rain, or any other reason. How is a player listed as DTD any different than any other day off given by the manager?
Rather than working on these irrelevant issues, Yahoo should focus on putting together a product that works the way it is supposed to work. The issues with the stat tracker this year are abysmal. I have been playing on this site for many years, but I will never play fantasy sports on Yahoo's site again. I suggest you deliver on the product you claim to offer, because people are abandoning their teams in record numbers.
I set up four teams this year. I doubt any one of the leagues I play in has had even half of it's managers look at their team in the last few weeks.

This IL+ plus position is offered in other Yahoo sports but not in baseball. With all these players getting hurt on a daily basis and listed as DTD (day-to-day) a manager has very few options to put in a full lineup. These are players you don;t want to drop. Enjoy all Yahoo sports but this issue in baseball needs to be addressed immediately.

Please add IL+ ASAP.
This is just a GAME and don't need to be addicted 100% with what they said/think in MLB front offices. A lot of them probably don't play and care about this as we do. And we need IL+ spots. -

is this enough feedback yet, Yahoo?? there are 2 topics regarding this with about 30 comments.

Had the same question under a different post. Here's the response I got back from Yahoo:
This is Trevor from Buffalo. I understand you had a question about IL+. I can assist you with this.
IL+ has not been considered yet for MLB as usually when players are out in MLB, they are put on the 10 day IL.
Guess were not going to see IL+ in Yahoo baseball anytime soon.

Agreed. Had players already listed as DTD out over a week.

Many poolers are not happy that when a player is injured and marked as day to day they can't put them on IL for the very same night that the injury occured. In hockey we have this option, so it would be wise to upgrade it in baseball too.

If a player has Covid, they can be put on the IL. If the rest of the players on their team can't play because the game is PPD, there's nothing a manager can do. They have to suck it up and run with a shorthanded roster.
We're already seeing PPDs messing with opening week. Stars like deGrom, Alonso, Soto, Turner, and more are forced to sit on the bench through no fault of their own.
If baseball had IL+, a manager could slide the PPD players over and pick someone up until their main guys are ready to play again.
Please, Yahoo. You did it for hockey. Do it for baseball, too.

"GATHERING FEEDBACK" for years now. Just add it, and if you don't like, don't use it.

Also, I'm not sure where to give feedback about Yahoo Customer Care, but the person who "assisted" with my request was not very helpful at all other than referring me to this page.

Use the NA list. That's what your suggestion is for.

Good to see y'all had already started this petition for DTD to become an extension of the IL in fantasy baseball and basketball. I guess I was too lazy to check for similar petitions the other day before posting my petition for the same thing.
Anyway, I asked everyone in my 10-yr keeper cash league to stop by to vote it up. So in checking the ranking for the petition now I see that Yahoo has merged our petitions since they are basically rooting for the same. That's actually a good thing.
Yahoo has also merged my petition as a comment in your petition, which you can see in this comments section.
We are now 30th in the ranking. So let's go guys... let's continue to spread this around. Post the link to this petition in all your Yahoo fantasy leagues, regardless of sport. I'm sure many of the guys in hockey and football leagues also field baseball and basketball leagues on Yahoo. We really DO need DTD to work more like IL/ IR for all sports.

It would be great if Yahoo were to assign the IL designation to injured players who are expected to be out for an extended period of time due to surgery or a bad injury early on before the season. Having to wait until April for MLB to officially place those players on their official IL does not seem right. It is more than obvious that some of those players will be on the IL for a month or two, perhaps longer. Good examples of the type of injured players I speak of are Zack Britton, who just got surgery and is expected out until June at the earliest, and Seth Lugo, who also got surgery and is expected out until at least mid May. Those guys are currently DTD and occupying bench spots because DTD is not really considered a real designation by Yahoo. DTD is basically just there for looks.. It serves no real purpose other than let you know the player may have a nagging injury or something is up with him that may keep him out of the lineup. But many truly injured players are often given the DTD label and their fantasy owners can't move them out of the way since DTD is no real designation. Early on the season, DTD keeps fantasy owners from moving injured players out of the way to target temporary replacements in prep for the start of the season. Like Britton and Lugo, there are many other even more valuable players with the DTD tag. Injured players that are likely months away from returning. But it would be a mistake to just cut them in deeper leagues or in keeper/ Dynasty formats. It seems particularly unfair for us that play the H2H format and have a limited number of moves allowed per week (Acq/ Week) to have to wait until after April 1 when MLB officially places their injured on the IL. At that point we will be forced to use our valuable (and limited) Acq/ Week moves for week 1 just to fill those spots... something we could have done much earlier without having to spare a week 1 move to do it. Yahoo, we know you are just playing by the book by making us wait for MLB to label injured players w/ the IL designation. But at the very least please make DTD a real injury designation or consider creating a new designation - say like, TO for Temporarily Out (much like y'all did for COVID-19 players) - so that we may get some of the injured players (the ones with surgeries and extended recoveries ahead) out of the way until they are officially placed on the IL by their teams once MLB kicks off. This will give us a chance to continue making roster moves and prepping up ahead of April 1 without having to use our limited week 1 roster moves (for those in H2H formats). Nothing much to ask… just create sort of a transient IL (a Temporarily Out) designation where we can get important injured players out of the way without having to drop them. In fact, it would be even easier if the DTD designation worked the same as the COVID-19 designation. All of those injured players I speak of are currently labeled as DTD, even though we all know many will be out for weeks or months. Why not make the DTD designation a temporary IL designation that will allow us to put injured players away for a few days until players either go on the extended IL or get healthy? Like the COVID-19 designation for players with Covid or for those that have been quarantined due to suspicion of Covid. It will help everyone tremendously, especially as stated, early on before the season begins; and it will be even more useful for those in H2H leagues that can only make a limited number of weekly FA/ waiver transactions after April 1.

You have Sale and Syndergaard out for the year and they are listed as day to day!

Not really sure why this is only a hockey option. Needs to be across the board- players are sitting out all the time with minor injuries and they should not take up roster space when they are not playing for their real life team. An absolute killer in keeper leagues when keeper players are shut down at the end of the season by their real teams and not being moved to the official IL.

If it's good enough for hockey, it should be good enough for baseball and basketball. Even football lets you put injured players on IR once they're ruled Out for the game.
Let baseball and basketball also have the DL/IR+ option like the hockey game has.
