DL+ spot, especially in September when real-life teams do not put players on the due to expanded rosters.

Copying my post from another thread...
I will repeat my comment from 2016:
"This would be a great option for fantasy baseball. Nothing we as fantasy managers can do about real-life MLB 40-man rosters in Sept. and no need for MLB teams to put their players on the real-life DL."- Gregory Polanco of the Pirates is out for the rest of the season, marked Day-to-day, and Pirates have no need to put him on the real-life DL with MLB rosters set at 40.You have a solution for this in the winter sports with the IR+ spot. Please consider creating a DL+ spot.

Why isn't there an option to move players who are DTD to a DL+ slot like you do in fantasy hockey? Please don't say this isn't possible, you already have it in place in your fantasy hockey.
We've had IR+ in hockey for years and use it for the roster moves where guys sit 5-6 days. It's great and would be a fantastic move where you don't even have to write code to do it. You already have the capability

why can't yahoo add a day to day category in order to keep good players on rosters, so many players get put on day to day and leagues do not offer enough roster positions WAKE UP YAHOO !

The MLB's "10-day" DL demands we have more than 5 DL spots on our rosters. My league may have to go elsewhere next year if Yahoo can't add more DL positions.

Because unlike hockey, baseball has definitive rules as to who is on the DL and who is not.

If a player is Day to Day the player should be able to be moved to a non roster spot so another player can be picked up to stay competitive that day. I should not be penalized because Yahoo is slow to move a day to day player to the DL that Yahoo has already reported was there. This player was also on the can't cut list so I was not able to do anything

Hi Clayton this wouldn't mean any additional slots, this would just allow players listed as DTD to be placed into one of the 'x' amount of DL slots that your league allows.
People stash players in DL all the time that's not really an issue. This idea actually makes things a lot more fair because while you may have a full healthy roster I can have a guy listed as DTD who I can't drop or put into the DL so I'm losing an opportunity to earn points all week.
We don't have 40 man rosters in fantasy so the flexibility makes it more real not less too, cuz the real teams are fielding other players we should be able to as well. -

How do you prevent an owner from just using the DTD slot to expand his roster? There needs to be an objective source for if a player is DTD or not. This is the reason a player can not be put on the DL until the Major League Team puts them on the DL.

I agree, there is nothing worse than having DTD players in September because real life managers have no need to put them on the DL with the expanded rosters. Take Starling Marte. Been out 2 weeks where he would have been put on the DL at any point before September and now he's not because there is no need. You can't drop him in a keeper league but he is wasting an active slot. This is a must have option for leagues, should be customizeable.

This really comes into play in September when MLB rosters expand. Players that are normally prior to September placed on the DL, such as Alex Bregman currently, are just left on the roster since MLB teams have so many other options. Fantasy mangers don't have those same options. And worst yet, it occurs during the fantasy playoffs. This really needs to be addressed.

jg2 DTD players are treated the same way on a Hockey roster, it is only when they are listed as IR do they not count towards the 23 man roster. Yet in Yahoo Hockey leagues Commissioners have the option of adding an IR+ position which incorporates DTD. All this guy is saying is that Yahoo Baseball leagues should have the option for DL+. Not sure why Yahoo doesn't have this as an option especially when in Baseball injuries are more rampant and having a guy DTD hurts your team a **** of a lot more considering they play almost every day.

Fantasy sports don't reflect DTD players because it's no different than a regular baseball team.
DTD players ride the bench on regular teams, they should also reflect that way in your league. Now there may be some setting adjustments from the Commish side but my rule of thumb has always been 100% agreement for any league changes. They are still highly ill advised.

You have this option for fantasy hockey, why not baseball?

It's not funny a DAY TO DAY player to stay there for 5-6 days specially when it's a pitcher. We need the IR +

baseball is a lot different than hockey. Baseball has the 7 day, 15 day, 30 day and 60 day DL. Hockey has IR and "upper body injury" and "lower body injury"
Baseball with 162 games encompasses planned days off during the season, especially for batters and RPs. Baseball has no "healthy scratches" Hockey rests Gs regularly and position players and basically deactivates players each game with healthy scratched.
Not to mention, that baseball games have the potential to go on forever, while hockey games have a fixed, timed format for overtime.
Baseball and Hockey are apples and oranges.

Hockey has the IR+ spot available for players that are "day to day" or "out", it makes a big difference!
