[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

We have always used message board and text messages. Do not like chat and wish you could leave message board as an option.

Extremely disappointed that the message board is down & unavailable this year….. Our whole League used it frequently and it surely will be missed.
That’s basically how we communicated.
Almost want to change sites to one that has a message board. -

Our league has been together for over 8 years and our message board is the PRIMARY way we communicate. By eliminating the message board, it will force us to reconsider who we use as our fantasy baseball platform. Please reconsider your decision. Thank you!

This is devastating news. The message board is a fantastic feature. Please reconsider.

Message board is easiest way for entire league to see notifications

How does this make sense? The message board is imperative to league records. Do you think I want to go through 100,000 emails to find pertinent information?

Echoing the many posts here, but I've been a Yahoo Fantasy commissioner for over 20 years (baseball, football & pro pick'em) and this is absolutely the worst change I've seen made by Yahoo, completely senseless and unacceptable. A message board is a very basic tool that is so important for communication; weekly recaps, draft information, welcome & goodbye messages, updates on issues with Yahoo which have become so much more common, it's such a vital hub of our fantasy leagues that is absolutely needed! Chat is not a suitable replacement, especially for long weekly recap articles which would be so hard to read in there, and we need them to remain on the league page easy to be viewed at any time and in the future (history/research). This is an absolutely devastating thing to see as a very loyal, long-time Yahoo commish. I really hope you reverse this stupid decision by out-of-touch young people I'm sure. Listen to your users.

Why on earth would you stop the message board? Please reverse this ridiculous decision.

I just went into my baseball league thru my computers web browser and there is no link to even CHAT. horrible idea not everyone uses a phone app to play fantasy sports. so how do I chat with my league if I am using a web browser and not a mobile phone app?????

Why do you keep making TERRIBLE decisions? The message board is the ONLY way we all communicate- trades, what's offered, whats available, messages, reminders, dates, deadlines, conversations, notes, communications, arguments, etc.. Why would you hamstring the ONLY way to communicate openly and all together? This is so bad we are deciding to cancel the league and move to ESPN after 15 years. I mean why would you want us to email or chat- NO ONE wants this. NOT A **** PERSON. Bring them back today- I am a commish and have NO WAY to communicate things now- who made this terrible decision and why do they still have a job

please do not removed message boards. It is a vital part of our leagues communications!

My league used the Message Board as its primary means of communication. We are not a 'trash talking' league. We used the board to share info, interesting stats, and in last few weeks of season to share Potential Playoff scenarios. This was much used by many in the League, Why was this discontinutied? Please restore ASAP! Thank you!

BAD move! I never used the chat and don't want to start. We really utilized the Message Boards to communicate about league moves and just things in general. I really liked it because it kept a complete record of all messages. several of my leagues some of the owners have been wanting to move to Fantrax and I have fought it as i liked the Yahoo format....now will have to rethink. Please bring back the Message Board. it's critical to our league.

I had already joined this league when I found out that messenger was no longer being used. This will be my LAST year in this league because if that. This is a STUPID idea and I hate it.

100% TERRIBLE idea! I have a ton of managers that never even use the app or the “chat”. This needs to be reverted ASAP.

Very bad decision to abruptly remove message boards that are used extensively by most leagues. It would have been a far better business procedure to poll league commissioners BEFORE removing such a vital tool. The method being used of removing then asking for feedback was not thought out very well. It causes massive ill will and will result in many leagues migrating to a more friendly platform that does offer the much used message board. One of those already in the process of migrating is our league (13 continual years on the Yahoo platform.)

David Hart commented
We used this for almost every aspect of our league. Please bring it back ASAP.

HORRIBLE decision to remove the message board yahoo..... makes ZERO sense! ***** the commissioner notes and email.......and many people do not even use the app! i will be moving my 3 leagues to another platform along with many others based on all the comments on this MESSAGE BOARD (irony?!?). and we wont be back once established on another site. FIX THIS NOW!!!

This is lame. Can’t we just have a message board?

Terrible move. At least give a season’s notice AND have your bugs and features in the “fantasy chat” worked out. There are so many integral communications which happen on boards used for 20+ years such as records of traded players and picks, rules, manager discussions, league previews, and the social history of a social game. Not everyone enjoys communicating exclusively on their phone, on an app, so you’ve restricted laptop/desktop users immensely. This is a mistake.
