[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

How could you do this ? The message board was a huge part of our league for 20 years. This is a terrible decision. Bring them back asap. Please. The chat feature isn’t the same.

Here's your feedback....you guys are stupid ******* idiots for not having the message boards....the cost involved in keeping the exact same program that you've had that people actually LIKED is so small that it's mind boggling you would get rid of them. IDIOTIC!!!!!!

Uhhhh what!? This is awful... We use the message board in our dynasty league throughout the whole year. Starting with organizing the league and making sure everyone is back for the start of the year, going into the league we have our prospect draft on the message board, during the season we post trades that involve picks/prospects, and we post prospect call ups. The message boards allowed us to keep all this organized and the league chat or a different email every few days is going to do the complete opposite. As a commissioner this is going to be the most annoying change ever. Awful...

Terrible idea. Makes no sense. Will probably move dynasty league to another site. So dumb

This makes running a league even more difficult. This is a terrible decision. So frustrating! This will cripple how leagues communicate rules and other critical information.

Message Boards have been vital to our dynasty league. We use it for all communications and our Rookie Draft each year. Also used for league rules, etc.
I'm VERY upset that you took this away.
Might stop playing any Yahoo Fantasy sports here if you keep making negative changes.

This is going to make communication a lot more difficult and only for the sake of pushing their chat. My leagues have used the message board a lot. It's been invaluable in trying to set a draft date or time or in doing offline drafting. Once the season has started, less so but still valuable. BTW, where does one even find chat on a desktop or laptop?

Terrible decision - I can't begin to imagine how many leagues need the message board to organise the begining of the season, especially to conduct offline drafts. You will lose many players.

Garbage Decision. Yall just big dumb huh?

Our 16 team league used the message board a lot for general communication, info to be shared with the entire league, and general comments on both the MLB and fantasy season that doesn't work as well using Chat or email. Please bring the message board back!

Message Boards are critical because a chat is always adding more messages. Message boards allow messages (to the whole league) to stay visible, unhindered by new continuous communications.
Yahoo is trash.
Also, Yahoo player pools are not even current. Very disappointed in Yahoo. -

This is a huge mistake. We need to communicate in the league without distractions. The crazy sites that have come along (i.e. discord) end up a big mess where nothing can be reliably found. We need simple communications. Maybe we don't use them much, but they are still very important. If we want social media, we can go elsewhere. Please, in the name of God tell me there won't be any of those infernal memes f-ing up the page every day. It will be the end of Yahoo Baseball.

Terrible decision to remove the message boards. It's our number one communication tool. It's bad enough I have to come to this God-forsaken site and see what garbage liberal propaganda you're pushing...the only reason we stayed is because we've been here for 20 years. And there was a time, believe it or not, Yahoo was one of the best platforms out there...

I understand if you want to put it behind a pay wall but at least give us this option . This is by far POUND for POUND one of the worst decisions of man kind. That person or personS should be fired.

I do not agree with this decision and I am surprised no one did a survey to ask what teams/users thought about it before ripping it out and replacing it with something inferior. We have been using message boards for years for our offline dynasty drafts. Very disappointing.

Unsure why you'd remove message boards. We use them to post rules, keepers, trades, and thread important topics of discussion. The ability to go easily go back to them from desktop or mobile is an invaluable piece of our league.

Gotta love that they are "welcoming feedback" which is basically just inviting you to waste your time.

This is hands down the stupidest decision Yahoo fantasy has made in terms of changes to the platform since I began doing fantasy sports in 2013. Why you would do this is not only incredibly unclear, but it also indicates just how out of touch you are with the needs of the people who use your service.
FYI, perhaps avoid telling your loyal users what the "best way to communicate" is and actually ask them.
Food for thought?

Really bad idea. League commissioners need this tool to post changes, updates to settings, gathering players opinions..., additionally communicating with email is not effective, many players dont use yahoo email as their primary email and dont check it that often.

Removing the message board before improving Chat was a horrible mistake. My league has a steady stream of topics and threads in the preseason and throughout. For example, to start, we have a general discussion thread to discuss various details regarding when our draft will start and the updating of our prospect list which is kept track of in the Commish Note. Then we will have other threads for pre draft trades made concerning our picks, prospects and owned players. Then we will have a thread specific to the offline draft of first year prospects. We will have a thread specific to the rules that apply to our league. Then after the draft we will have a thread concerning which prospects the teams are calling up and dropping because our rules allow a max of 10 prospects per team. we will also have threads related to what prospects, draft picks and owned players are available for trades. Occasionally we will need a thread to have a league wide conversation on potential rule changes. WE NEED THE MESSAGE BOARD BACK IMMEDIATELY!!!!! Without it we are dead in the water.
