[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

The Baseball season has started and MOST leagues still don't have Chat. Please finish beta testing the new ChatBox on private leagues and provide to ALL leagues ASAP. Without a message board we don't have a good way to communicate with our league-mates. Fantasy Sports is a social game, provide communication tools on the league page so we can play. I don't know how Yahoo expects us to enjoy their product if they don't provide required tools in order to play.

Bring back the message board and bring back chat DURING the drafts!!! It's easier to connect with other members of your league instead of playing with complete strangers all season.

For many of our leagues, we used the message boards to keep track of our prospect farm lists and the moves made regarding them. If you could remove the restrictions on NA roster spots, we would be able to keep those prospects right on our roster without freezing our moves if that prospect gets called up and loses their NA designation. Then we could use the new chat for recording farm moves and then could survive without the message boards. And individual commissioners could police the use of NA roster spots in their own leagues. Would it be possible to make this adjustment?

Bring back the message board. A lot of options out there for fantasy, and Yahoo will be left in the dust if they continue with this joke. I won't be back! Whoever thought of this idea should be looking for other employment.

You guys s u c k. All the repeats of the boilerplate reply of Reddit, the utter lack of reply/concern here ... Yahoo, 2020s slang for the verb to s u c k.

How to complain about removing message boards? Use a message board.
There was seriously no reason to remove something you have had for 20+ years. If you do the same thing for football you might as well close your fantasy games all together. Or maybe that is the whole reason you are doing this in the first place? Who knows. You will never communicate with us.

My god Yahoo put the message board back. It is our league's most effective way to communicate. Please reconsider.
Also, ditch the desktop matchup ratings feature if it's never going to be used. It's just clutter.
Also, any way to get an "opponents" feature when playing fantasy from
the phone? It's handy to check upcoming schedules from phone rather than desktop.
Finally, any way to have a StatTracker available from the phone? It would be good to have live updates without having to go to MLB.com. (lost Yahoo revenue, I'm thinking) -

If you're pursuading us to use your mobile app to increase your ad profits and app usage then make it easy before the stupid change. We should at least be able to read the commissioner notes on the mobile app. If the idea is for us to use your app more, then why have it so that we still need to go back to a laptop. Or am I wrong, because I can't find the commish notes on the app.
PS: It was a very stupid decision to get rid of message boards.

Love how they remove the link to the message board about removing it, so they do not care that they ***** up.

Our former Yahoo leagues are currently REALLY enjoying having moved to FANTRAX, Totally free and an awesome Message Board and excellent customer service. Light years better!

Bad Cat - yep. They don't care as long as we play their cash games and DFS product...they don't care about long-time private leagues...
I will say they are monitoring it, or a robot is, because they put asterisks over my comment a few posts down. I purposefully typed "****" and they replaced "****" with "****" lol.

Methodine: They’re just GATHERING feedback. No intentions of ever listening to it!
This sucks!
I’m stuck with a team that autodrafted already - and l can’t even let the other owners know l want out?
Now l want to quit using Yahoo… for anything.
P.S. How does this topic have ten times the posts of any other boards, but is “2nd ranked”?

I'd love for a Yahoo intern--unless they were forced to lay them all off--to go through and tally the 2500+ comments and see what the percentage of comments that are against the removal of the message boards..."Gathering Feedback"...I mean, that's what y'all say y'all are doing, right?
