[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

My feedback is simple. No Message Boards is Stupid.

We utilized the message board for a lot of things including our offline draft. In sayint that we used text to do the offline draft this year and found that to be even more effective. Although I liked the message board I feel we will use Text or chat or some other means to offset what we lost with the message board going away.

Horrible especially with your phone App. Now there is no way to communicate with league. No way to find potential trades

Horrible idea to get rid of the message board. Horrible. It will lose you leagues and as a results, tons of traffic and ad revenues. This was a mistake, likely presented by a C-player in a poorly lit conference room when 80% of the real decision makers were "WFH" playing super mario on their playstation....

"Future improvements" ... y'all are as bad as Manfred. "Improving" things that don't need to be changed. Trashtalking, public announcements, even announcing who might be available on a message board were all a fun part of fantasy baseball. "Fantasy Chat" is worthless, and I won't be using it.

Even if our leagues survive this year how likely is it that a company that doesn't listen will be around many more years? Really sad.

Just looking at my team and thought wow, it would be great to get on my message board and tell everyone that I got 3 good shortstops in my draft and would like to trade one of them for an outfielder. Now that I can't do that, I would have to try and send an email to everyone and hope they read it and respond via email--instead of just having a chat about it that everyone would see right away. What a ridiculous decision-what does yahoo gain by taking away the message board? What if a player in our league has emails from yahoo turned off? Hello? McFly? McFly?

What the ****? No message board? I can't even begin to say what a bonehead decision this is. All of the leagues I've ever been in have utilized the message board. What a terrible decision-obviously a decision made by someone who does not participate in a fantasy league.
When you play in a public league the message board is beyond critical to getting to know the other players. We are all from all over the world playing together and we don't know each other but by the end of the season we are communicating like long lost friends. We all use the message board to talk about players available for trade or a category you might be interested in trading for. This is beyond a boneheaded decision. I sure hope you genius' are not planning on taking away the message board in football. I make important posts that are referenced from year to year. If this baseball league was a keeper league with my friends then I'd be looking elsewhere to play because this is a big deal. Nice job yahoo, let's take away something important so you can try to be hip with fantasy chat or other threading, or pinning. Once again,- I think the message board is critical. Hopefully, someone there will wake up and realize that this is not something that needs to be taken away. Unbelievable...... -

Wow! Yahoo! just keeps getting worse and worse.

My leagues "used" message boards on Yahoo Fantasy Sports for fun, discussion, points of interest... I mean, walk do fantasy sports competitors talk about? We were just talking digitally. We will continue to use message boards come football season, on another platform if Yahoo doesn't come to its senses and restore message boards (which are FAR BETTER than chat BTW).
As an aside, not clear on WHY Yahoo is eliminating message boards -- Yahoo didn't address that point. I can't imagine how message boards would cost much money and take much staff time... ??? So what's the rationale, Yahoo?

Bring back message boards!

Ditto, Chris! Why can't I put my guy an the IR in fantasy baseball?

Where is this fantasy chat I see Yahoo broadcasting? No way to communicate with rest of league within the game without message board.

Steven Peters commented
Yahoo would be irrelevant without fantasy sports. Take message boards away, we find another site to host our league. I've been commishing leagues for more than 20 years on Yahoo. Ill easily move if the woke snowflakes that run the company get their way.

Well from reading the comments it sounds like Yahoo needs to get a grip why in **** would you do something so petty we're gonna take your message board away cause a little snowflake got his feelings hurt.

If ain't broke don't fix it !!!! The Message Board is the most efficient way to communicate with our league members. Any other means of communication certainly won't be as efficient as the Message Board. This league is mostly a way of communication between friends and without the Message Board the communication won't be as efficient and prompt.

Yes, message boards are much more visible than chat. If you're in multiple Yahoo! leagues, like I am you have to scroll through Chat to find the right league. Yahoo!, WHY are you even doing this? Also, bring back the 'trash talk' on a team's home page. I liked this to post funny or boastful matters within the league. Bring it back!!

Horrible decision. This has been the sole method of communication for this league for 20 years, hard to believe you are that clueless about the limitations of your other functions.
Hope someone is reading all the comments and feedback here, they are dead on.
Very disappointing.
