Select number of bench positions for pitchers and hitters individually
As commissioner of a head to head points league, I would like to have the ability to set a limit for the number of bench positions a manager can have for hitters and pitchers separately. This will solve a dilemma I currently have where some teams load up on too many RP or SP positions. Being a keeper league we have larger benches and I would like to see balance

I wholly agree. In our league, teams are overloading their bench with pitchers in order to win counting stat categories. It results in very few pitchers being available to pick up.
Since starting pitchers only play once every five days on a schedule, and position players usually play almost every day, not having separate bench spots allows teams to get more starts in if they choose to. I would like to combat this by limiting teams to a single pitcher bench spot.

Yes yes yes. I want to up the number of bench spots but I know that many teams will use them to just load up on pitchers. Would love to limit pitcher bench spots and increase batter bench spots specifically.

I agree with this also and we have a problem with guys just picking up pitchers all week in order to win?

This is absolutely necessary for a h2h points league. It would solve a lot of issues with teams loading up with starting pitchers as mentioned. I tried to curb it myself by adding a 2nd UTL slot to my league because often people complain that they know when a SP is going to start but they don't always know when a bat is going to play.
The only issue I have with a split bench is right now it is fairly easy to find a decent hitter on the FA when you lose a bat, if you add a couple of offensive bench slots it will become impossible, though you will likely have more starting pitching available...in my league even the guys with 5.00 ERAs are grabbed.
Have altered points so that bad starts are punished, have tried changing starting slots for offense, while both have been effective I think splitting the bench would really drive it home. My other thought was just reducing roster size from 26 to 24 since I don't have this issue really in my other league a 18 team 26 man roster (primary is a 20/26) so that is close to 52 extra players in the FA list, so dropping two slots per team would at least get it in the ball park at 40.
