Please fix NBA players positions... (position eligilibty)
Some thoughts based also on Rotoworld stats...
MARQUESE CHRISS (PF/C) - He is a full-on hybrid PF/C. He played 49% of his minutes at center, without Chandler or Len next to him...
ALLEN CRABBE (SG/SF)- He’ll be coming off the bench with a ton of minutes at the two and three.
JAMYCHAL GREEN (PF/C) - He saw about five minutes at the five and even three minutes at the three.
WILSON CHANDLER (SG/SF/PF) - Last year, Chandler was expected to play a lot of four, and they did go that route again in the preseason. Coach Mike Malone wants to go small in the non-Jurkic minutes.
TIM FRAZIER (PG/SG) - Locked in for big minutes even with other PGs at the same time and should have a
really nice dime rate.Classic combo guard.
MICHAEL KIDD-GILCHRIST (SF/PF) - He actually got a decent amount of run at PF.
D'ANGELO RUSSELL (PG/SG) - plays a lot of minutes off the ball in Lakers with Lou Williams and Clarkson on the roster...As these two players have PG eligibility also Russell must have SG eligibility...! 3 familiar style players...
MARCUS SMART (PG/SG) - He played over 800 minutes last year with Isaiah Thomas according to basketball reference, which is almost half of his minutes!
ESPN lists him as PF
Rotoworld lists him as PF/C
Yahoo! PLEASE fix this
Totally agree with this! His eligibility is also PF/C on Rotowire.
Please add. Here is a link to NBA.com
NBA.com has Karl-Anthony Towns listed as Forward-Center. Please update Yahoo position and add PFeligibilty
If anything, Yahoo needs to LIMIT giving non-centers forwards eligibility at a position in which they rarely, if ever, play! Jon Leur, Markieff Morris, Patrick Patterson, David Lee, among so many others, have been given dual-eligibility, how about you wait till PFs actually gets starts at Center before they're eligible there! Morris, Leur, Patterson and Lee have zero starts at center COMBINED, in the last two years! Patterson has 1 start in his 8 year NBA career at Center, and that was four years ago! Draymond Green has played 322 games and has start a grand total of 3 games (0.93%) at Center, so to add eligibility for him would be insane!
Please address Powell's C eligibility immediately.
KAT should be given PF availability. He plays alongside Gorgui Dieng. If Drummond has both PF and C eligibility then KAT should definitely have it also.
I just posted the same thing... didnt see your post
Theres no doubt hes going to be playing SF when hes on the floor with Knight and Bledsoe
Enes Kanter is listed at C only
He is gonna be playing a ton of PF next to Steven Adams.
Come on Yahoo! Get it right!
Kelly should have PF/C position
cedric lacour commented
Denzel Valentine should have PG/SG eligibility (at least SG). He's only SF for now...
Rotowire is the site that Yahoo takes its Fantasy Player Updates from. So, why is he listed as a PF/C on their web-site (http://www.rotowire.com/basketball/player.htm?id=3855) and not on in Yahoo Fantasy?
Here's a quote from Yahoo's July story about Powell being re-signed: "Powell a versatile, 6-foot-11 forward/center – became a successful part of the Mavericks' development structure a season ago. He was acquired by the Mavericks as part of the Rajon Rondo trade in 2014 and swiftly appeared to be the franchise's best asset acquired in the deal, showing his size, skill set and activity."
The Mavericks web site lists him as a PF/C and every press release in which his name is mention, he's called a PF/C. See: http://www.nba.com/players/dwight/powell/203939
From Yahoo's news story dated only a few months ago regarding the re-signing of Dwight Powell (http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--dwight-powell-agrees-to-deal-with-mavericks-033122761.html) and I quote: "Powell a versatile, 6-foot-11 forward/center – became a successful part of the Mavericks' development structure a season ago. He was acquired by the Mavericks as part of the Rajon Rondo trade in 2014 and swiftly appeared to be the franchise's best asset acquired in the deal, showing his size, skill set and activity."
Dwight Powell spent 311 minutes at Center last season. Fact in the14 MPG he played last season and that's the equivalent of 23 FULL GAMES EXCLUSIVELY AS CENTER FOR DWIGHT POWELL!
The Mavericks main beat writer lists him as AN EXCLUSIVE CENTER in the announcement in which Powell was re-signed: https://twitter.com/DwainPrice/status/751662886909386753
The Dallas Mavericks press releases, published on their official web site mention Powell as a PF-C. As does their official roster chart and his player page (http://www.nba.com/players/dwight/powell/203939). This is a 6'11 backup of both PF and C, and his only two starts have been at Center!
Patrick Patterson and Markieff Morris between them have 211 starts in 14 seasons, and only 3 careerr starts at center, none in the past four years! John Leur has started one game there in his career, none in the last 3 seasons, spanning 33 games! None of these three are even listed as backups at the Center position on the very depth charts Yahoo created!
Meanwhile, Powell, listed on all the other sites, like CBS and Draft Kings, as a PF/C, MADE 2/2 STARTS AT CENTER LAST SEASON! He, unlike Leur, Morris or Patterson, is listed on Yahoo's Mavericks depth chart as one of their backup centers! So, Powell has made 100 percent of his starts at center, Patterson and Morris have made a combined 1.4% of their starts at center, and 0.00% in the past four years! This makes zero sense and needs to be rectified!
Toronto's Patrick Patterson and Washington's Markieff Morris, in their 14 years and 211 starts have COMBINED for 3 starts at Center! Neither are even listed on your own depth charts as backup centers! Meanwhile Chriss, the rookie former college center, has already started a game at the 5 during pre-season accoring to Yahoo's own box score, and played there much of the pre-season. And yet Patterson, Morris, Leur, and Lee, among others, have Center eligibilty even though none have started there in years, and many aren't even listed in Yahoo's depth charts as backups at the position. This is nuts!
