Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2023-24
Position eligibility requests for the 2023-24 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.
Entire list of updated players for the 23/24 season: https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/playerchanges?type=pos
As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/position-eligibility-fantasy-hockey-sln7057.html

I could swear Kelly Olynyk originally had forward eligibility a couple of weeks ago - was it removed? Only after we drafted did I notice he was listed as C only, which hurts my team as I already have two other C-only players.

Julius Randle should have C eligibility

Caris LeVert is starting as SF, will play as SG at times. Please change eligibility to SG/SF. Thanks.

Add SG on Trae. He's going to play 2 when Dejounte's switched to 1.

I have 3 position eligibility concerns on my current team.
1. Fred VanVleet is only PG and not SG. Fred is poised to play a lot more off-ball this season with Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, and even Dalano Banton running the point. Removing his SG eligibility from last season is confusing.
2. Ben Simmons being only PG is odd. He's always been a Point Forward. He should have PF at the very least.
3. Bradley Beal no longer has SF. Will Barton has SG/SF eligibility on Washington, but Beal only has SG. Seems odd to me since they'll likely be sharing each role. -

I cant remember yahoo having these issues before. I would appreciate an "engineer" to help us common folk to understand the given positions. It makes drafting complex if we have players with a single position when they are being used at multiple positions by their respected teams. Someone needs to explain why porzingis has two playable positions and guys like Myles turner only can play center. Both shoot 3s both capable of playing the 5.

Can you make Julius Randle center eligible? He has been in the past and does spend some time at that position.

Terance Mann has been running point on the 2nd unit with the Clippers. It's only right he gets PG eligibility.

Justise Winslow plays almost half his time at sf

As of March 15, 2022 Lebron James has started at C for 26% of his games played (13 out of 50 games). Why does he not have C eligibility? If anything, he should have his SG eligibility removed and instead have C. He plays like a PG, starts most of his games at SF, and some at C. Please adjust it accordingly to his style of play and positions started for this season. Thank you.

According to basketball reference, 64% of his time on NBA court Trendon Watford played C position, 36% PF, and 0% time SF, and he still only has SF eligibility.
