Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2023-24
Position eligibility requests for the 2023-24 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.
Entire list of updated players for the 23/24 season: https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/playerchanges?type=pos
As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/position-eligibility-fantasy-hockey-sln7057.html

Sadly yahoo needs to add a designation for suspended players. If you drafted Ja Morant to stash, he is listed as "Out," which means he can't be put on IL, only IL+

Please give C eligibility back to all the PFs that for some reason had it removed this year after having it for years: Julius Randle, PJ Washington, John Collins. This is even more important with Yahoo’s default 2 Center format - there is a significant gap in available Centers, especially small ball Centers like Randle, PJ and Collins. This limits managers’ ability to fill out their lineup and use different punt strategies. Some people went into their draft picking these players expecting them to be their Center since they have had the tag for years. Furthermore there are other primarily PF players that do have the C tag like Zion, Wemby, Siakam - it should only be fair to give the C tag to the other small ball C PFs like Randle, Washington, Collins. There is significant past data to show that all of these players have played C and can play C at any time with their current teams. Looking at Julius Randle specifically, he is listed as “Power Forward and Center” on Basketball Reference (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/randlju01.html) and “Forward-Center” on NBA.com https://www.nba.com/player/203944/julius-randle .

Please add PF eligibility for Robert Williams III on Portland Trailblazers. He plays with Ayton where Robert Williams is the PF and his profile in NBA.com states he is a Forward/Center.
Thanks

Please add SF eligibility for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
He’s had that tag since I started playing fantasy basketball and spends more playing time at that position compared to C.

John Collins is also a PF/C depending on roster construction and particularly when Jazz play small.

Guys, Bam has been a PF/C for time immemorial, since Whiteside days. Similarly, Jerami Grant is an SF/PF depending on lineup construction. Let's please address this.
