No need for a limit, but if you must, please at least make it 50 characters. Often, we can’t even just add a “The” to the beginning of our names. It’s silly. Thank you!

how is this still unresolved? it's been years this has been a request! it can't but a day's work to make this change...

This has been quite debatable. While San Francisco Steamboats is quite legit.
The names Glynn was suggesting are a bit ridiculous.
Delta St Fighting Okra can be shortened to Delta St. Okra or Elementary My Dear Watson to Elementary Watson or Kerryom My Wayward Son to Wayward Sun
The whole Idea is to keep it simple like professional leagues.
Like Rogers Hornets, Rogers Raving Lunatics, the addition of an adjectives should be eliminated.

Please increase the 20-character limit you have on team names and league names. Even just 2 more characters would make a huge difference!

Trying to use "Delta St Fighting Okra" and it is 1 character too long. Please change the limit to at least 30 for flexibility. I had a team in an nfl.com league with Deshaun Watson as QB called "Elementary My Dear Watson" and another "Kerryon My Wayward Son". Couldn't use either of those here.

Your competition allows more characters. Please make this a priority, I am a commissioner of 4 leagues across multiple sports and EVERYONE hates this limitation.

Change the team name character from 20 to 30 please!

YES!!!!!!!!! Why is this so hard to do!!! lol

Seriously, THIS! Why? WHY?? It doesn't have to be tweet length, but give me a chance to customize something! Turns out, fantasy players don't just name their teams after their favorite NFL franchise.

You tell 'em, Mike D! We creative team namers need more space to express ourselv
Sorry, that last part got cut off. Needed a few more characters.

I have a themed league and particular names require 25-30 characters. Please, change ASAP.
20 Characters is too limiting, why is this the limit???

Eat A$$ Yahoo for not implementing this.
my first comment on this was 4.5 years ago. Can't you just do it already? It is now 6th ranked.

Just adding one more voice. Yahoo, you are really stifling the fun. Dumb team names is a big part of the fun of fantasy football, and 20 characters makes that really hard. I've been on Yahoo for five years now, but I'm moving to another platform for next year if this isn't fixed. Seriously.
I have one league in ESPN and one in Yahoo. The ESPN league is way more fun every week because we can have our name be 30 characters and everyone roasts each other with their team name. So many more possibilities with just 10 more characters. 20 character limit... seriously, yahoo? How hard is it to update your system let us have more? It's obviously been a huge request from your users for years and your competition doesn't seem to have a problem doing it.

20 characters is ludicrous. Stifling. It's not 2008 anymore.
My USFL league my San Antonio Gunslingers are the ONLY ones that don't fit

I've been using the same team name for 5 years on NFL.com fantasy football which is 22 characters. But now I have to come up with something lame just because yahoo's limit is so small. PLEASE FIX!!
"Peyton Manning Riding a Dragon Around" 37 characters. 30 characters would be acceptable. My team will be "Peyton Manning Ridin" until you fix it, which is lame.
Seems trivial, but it would have a big impact on my experience.
It's been 4 years since I first commented on this and it still hasn't been addressed. I'm not asking for 100 characters, just 30 or even 25 would greatly increase the options.
