I agree. I had an awesome name but was just a few characters short of making it work. Stop being like twitter! Up the max!

I think 30 would be an acceptable number. If you can't come up with a clever name in 30 characters…Keep trying. Ross Bursey(After the Reign)

Come on Yahoo,
You've seen all the great team names. Increase the Limit, Its hard to be creative with the names with only a 20 character limit.

At least double the character max to 40. I know several people that have had to completely change their team names because of this 20 character limit.

Agreed! It's probably more of a layout-based restriction than a technical limitation...still, Yahoo! could expand their tables to allocate 5-10 more characters!

This definitely needs to be fixed, it seems like a simple thing to fix. Yahoo needs to realize the blatantly obvious that one of the funnest things about fantasy sports is picking a creative team name. Yahoo, make this easy change please.

If the character maximum is once again stuck at 20, can Yahoo! please explain if there is a technical limitation to extending the max, an issue related to fitting the team names within certain segments of the web/mobile UIs, or if it is just a preference of the person in charge of running the Yahoo! fantasy football business. Thanks.

Agree need to make team names longer at least 30 to 40

35 to 40 is appropriate. I believe UPS and the USPS have a 35 character limit for the name field, as they concluded that entities are routinely this long.
Is Yahoo! saving .00000005 cents per team in server space by limiting names to 20 characters?

I agree, the limit should be expanded to at least 30

Definitely agree with this suggestion as it would give us much more flexibility.

I agree. This is such an easy fix, and I've commented on this for probably 8-10 years. Oh, the amazing team names lost to time because of some arbitrary limitation that probably saves Yahoo! $1.32 in server space.

25 is still too few. No other site has such a ridiculous limit. make it 35-40 please.
Wait... this is Yahoo we're talking about.. they never change anything for the better. They are very good at ignoring sensible requests that are easy to implement.
Yahoo.... YOU SUCK SCROTUM SACKS!
