Positional Specific Scoring Options
As several other posts here have stated, Yahoo does have some great custom scoring options.
However, In the interest of creating better Equivalent Positional Value, I'd like to see the ability to add position specific scoring options. For instance: the ability to score QB/RB/WR/TE rushing, receiving, and passing yards separately or, more importantly, independent of each other. With such scoring a QB's rushing yards (or any other relevant stat) could be adjusted to be more/less than say the points earned by a RB.
The thought with having these options would be to create a more balanced scoring system, which would allow players to more accurately and effectively draft and choose players according to the idea of Best Available Player strategy.

I’ve been a commissioner at yahoo since 2012, I’ve seen the mass improvement. You guys already have the best app and are very user friendly. I’ve noticed that other leagues offer way more customization when it comes to their scoring. Please allow more bonuses, scoring categories such as (7+ catches equal x points for H), if yahoo adopted Flea Flickers points, you guys would be unmatched

I would at the very least like the ability to only award points per reception for Wide Receivers and Tight Ends, and not for all players.

What is the position of Yahoo on adding Positional Specific Scoring Options at this point? I think this is a great idea, but I do not see a response.

Additionally separate receiving yards per point, example tight end may be a 1.5 PPR while a WR is a 1 PPR and maybe a RB is a 1.25 PPR. Wee need much more control of statistics to feel that we are in full control of our league and our individual preferences. Many of us are stst people, and would love to fine tune more aspects of the game that currently allowed.
JBM: There's nothing to prevent a (relevant) player acquiring dual eligibility later in the season. As I recall last season, people were up in arms wanting YAHOO! to give Ty Montgomery (GB - WR) a second eligible position (RB).
I would NEVER participate in a Fantasy Football League where scoring values are position dependent. In fact, I would suggest further that there should be a Fantasy Football Constitutional Amendment stating that no commissioner shall create individual scoring categories with values (including an implied zero value) that are dependent upon a player's listed position.
Let's be honest with ourselves here, and I'm completely open to being shown I'm wrong with an example here, but you have to make it all the way to "Rhett Ellison NYG - RB,TE" at #436 on Yahoo's after-season rankings to find a dual-eligible player.
Even in an incredibly deep league (2 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 2 TE, 2 Flex) with even 14 or 16 teams you're only talking about max 208 starters and that's assuming the two roster spots for DEF and a K.
If *checks earlier post for copy paste name*... Rhett Ellison NYG - RB,TE is the deciding factor for an owner, well kudos to that man or woman because that's a heck of a play. Realistically no dual threat players (on offense) are going to be tearing up your H2H match ups.
I must disagree with the idea of making scoring values dependent upon a player's position. A player (for example) should receive the SAME POINTS for each category, regardless of whether that player is a QB, WR, RB, TE, K, etc., just as it is right now.
Also, making scoring values dependent upon a player's position would create a couple of problems. One such problem would be how to handle players with dual eligibility (RB/WR eligible as an example); another problem would be how to handle players inserted into a fantasy lineup in a flex position (such as W/R/T).
all I wanted was the ability to change TE's to 1ppr. with .5 ppr for rest of positions it adds a little more spice to that position
I don't know if this helps exactly, but myfantasyleague.com offers a lot of the customization you seem to be talking about. Won't be a fix, but might be a better option for you and your league.
Really, I was just using that as a basic example. What I'm really interested in is the ability to tweak each of those scoring categories separately as needed. Several other commissioners and I would like to run some simulated seasons (or re-simulate past seasons) and come up with a more balanced scoring models in our league(s). We'd prefer to have more scoring balance between positions in our deeper leagues with short benches - #1 QB and #1 RB and #1 WR should be roughly similar in points - that's our hope and theory at least.
Passing yardage is already scored the same way in Yahoo! No matter which positions passes the ball, they get 1 pt for every 25 yards.
Rushing, the only difference between the way it is scored today and how you would like to see it is QB yardage in reality. K rushing yards are so rare its pointless to include them in custom scoring.
Just a little clarification in case I was too brief in the post - My hope would be that the ability to use positional specific scoring would look something like this:
QB Passing Yards: 25 YD = 1 PT
RB Passing Yards: 25 YD = 1 PT
WR Passing Yards: 25 YD = 1 PT
TE Passing Yards: 25 YD = 1 PT
K Passing Yards: 25 YD = 1 PT
QB Rushing Yards: 25 YD = 1 PT
RB Rushing Yards: 10 YD = 1 PT
WR Rushing Yards: 10 YD = 1 PT
TE Rushing Yards: 10 YD = 1 PT
K Rushing Yards: 25 YD = 1 PT
And so on and so forth with the scoring categories. Hopefully that clears up any confusion or ambiguity.

Fractional scoring for PPR is already available.
Receptions count the same for all receptions made, even for the QB. That is not likely to change.
Please add the option for adjusting reception value independent of position and adding the ability to adjust reception scoring by decimal values. For example... my league would like to use a 0.5 PPR scoring setting for all players and a 1.5 PPR scoring value for TE. As of now you can only set it to 0 or 1 PPR.
