Add Punter Position and Stats please
We have and IDP league which is great but miss the Punter stats in Team Defense systems. We also have return yards but having roster spots and points for Punters would broader player depth and relevance to we football nerds.

Add Punt Scoring similar to ESPN

I play in a 20 team league that enjoys customized, expanded settings. We use IDPs in lieu of team defenses and a customized point system for categories that make all players (on either Offense or Defense) more likely to get similar points. We have found that this makes all players more relevant as our guys now track a wider variety of players than before. It takes more time and, I am sure this is more than the casual FFB manager may want but, it surer is a ton of fun for we football stat geeks!
With the options that Yahoo offers for customizing categories and statistics, we have been to break up the single-point, team defensive stats and reallocate them to the IDPs. This has made Defensive players as interesting to track and trade as Offensive players. In similar fashion, we have also been able to add return yards and TDs for points. The only category/stat missing is punt yards.
NFL has stats for all players, including punters. I am hoping that whatever use agreement for this data and/or partnership with the NFL, that you could easily introduce the same mechanisms to track punting stats as you do so well tracking all the abundance of Offense player and IDP stats.** bonus plea for Defensive linemen (DTs and DEs) having a stat category for QB rushes or hits so I can make them more valuable as compared to the other popular positions (LBs, Ss, CBs).**
Please correct me if I am off base but I assumption that Yahoo doesn't have seas of impassioned, indignant fantasy football mobs rushing the proverbial Yahoo gates and demanding that punters be available to have their own individual position and stats. If not for me, an old guy who probably over focuses on the subtleties of stats in football (vs. casual players who only want to check in once a week) and for the sake of the other 19 guys in my league who are worn out hearing my thoughts about this, could you please, please, please create this category for seemingly the only one guy in America who is requesting this?
With great hope and regards,
Heath - the old guy who over focuses on the subtleties of stats in football!
