Playoffs - Edit matchups for every round.
This feature would allow commissioners to edit the matchups for every round of the playoffs. Currently, only the first round of the playoffs can be changed.

I have Toilet Bowl brackets for both leagues I'm in. The loser advances each week instead of the winner. Loser of the final game "wins" the toilet bowl trophy. Yahoo only allows the winner to advance, so the managers are required to email me their rosters. I'm glad I can customize the 1st week now, but why can't Yahoo allow customization during the entire playoffs so I can edit who advances each week.

If playing with divisions and bye weeks, should be able to have the first round split by division with the top division winners getting the bye. This way rounds 1 & 2 you are playing for your division Title and then you Play the Other Division for the Overall Championship.
Don't just make the Division Winners Top seeded and then everyone else by record. This will make more like NFL.

First, ties in fantasy football are a very rare occurrence, especially with fractional scoring, but that is the default option for public and Pro leagues.
In private leagues, the commish can opt out of this tie breaker and go with just seeding.

The current way that yahoo breaks ties in the playoffs is ridiculous. They use the win record from the regular season against that team to break ties. This doesn't make sense as this negates the whole point of playoffs! I suggest that they use some other tie breaker that has to do with perhaps total points scored or least points scored against or something like that that is team independent.

Give the commissioner the power to adjust the playoff matchups, yours were wrong again this year. Also, all 12 of our teams play 14 regular season games and in weeks 15 and 16. You need to make these adjustments or maybe we can find a site that allows these things.

I just need to have 3 rounds with 4 teams after q 13 week season. The 3rd round is for a Super Bowl between 2 leagues that we can do "manually". This seems simple but we can't do it now without lots of confusion.

I see your point, but the difference with the NFL is that each team plays defense against the other team and has an impact on how many points their opponent scores. With FFL, that is not the case and there is a little more luck involved - i.e. their top players may have been on bye, injured, or had tough matchups. So while you may have beat them in the two weeks you played each other, the other 12 weeks they may have outscored you.

I don't understand why yahoo doesn't let the commish edit playoff matchups or create their own brackets. our league has some non standard things and i can't set up our playoff bracket accordingly without manipulating the win loss or teams in the regular season

H2H only matters in the playoff tiebreaker and only if the commish selected that option in the league.
-
I do admit my team this year was not all that great but I did beat the team that came in 4th twice and now I placed 5th

I selected playoff reseeding thinking I could set my playoffs based on head to head tiebreakers. Now I realize that it's not possible to do that (which I totally don't agree with) and now it won't let me switch off the automatic reseeding. This is going to ***** up my entire playoff bracket and I have no power to fix it. Makes me look like bad commissioner when I say playoffs are going to be one way and they are set up another way.

Nothing changed this season regarding the regular season tiebreakers.
Best record is first, then most points. If most points is a tie, you go back to the previous week.
In the playoffs, for public and Pro leagues, the only tiebreaker is seeding. In private leagues, the commish can select H2H results during the season as the 1st tiebreaker if they wish, then seeding.
And no one changed your settings.

You have to be kidding me with this inconsiderate move. All the sudden my leagues settings have been changed without my permission. I have been doing a league on yahoo for years, now I can't have the settings I want? When the season began I rolled over the settings, should be overall points, which is clearly the most fair way. Who cares about head to head that is idiotic!
Question is, do we want to be able to pick tiebreakers??? -

You can find the above in NOTES at the top of your league page. You can do what you want, you just have to do a little work.
So yes, you CAN, set up the bracket the way you want to.

I have a head to head league with 2 divisions. There is no way to set up standard divisional playoffs with the division winner and 2 wild cards for each division and then the winners of the championship games go to the superbowl. The current format takes the top 6 teams, regardless of division standings, and brackets them according to overall record regardless of division.
What is the point of having 2 divisions, if you are just going to format the playoffs the same as having only 1 division? The commissioner has no ability to change the brackets. I would like to see divisional brackets ( i.e. ... AFC / NFC playoffs) or at least give the commissioner the ability to change the brackets. They don't just put the Patriots against the Falcons in the first round of the playoffs because of overall standings and They don't take 3 wild cards from the AFC just because one of them has a better record then an NFC team. There are 2 wild cards in the AFC and 2 wild cards in the NFC, whether or not there was a team with a better record than the lowest rated playoff team in the opposing division.

I've read the tie breaker information and I understand the commissioner doesn't have the ability to change playoff bracket. My ask is to have a rule change by your group that it will only use the division winning percentage only if the same amount of games were played in that division. If not, then it should look at total points as the tie breaker.
It isn't fair comparison if the number of division games played are not the same. -

H2H results are not used in season tiebreakers. Only in the playoffs if the commish chose the option.
-
Steve Huslig commented
Then you need to have a points based league. This can't be done in H2H leagues.
-
Steve Huslig commented
Head 2 head results can be used as a tiebreaker in the playoffs in private leagues, but the season tiebreaker is based on how you did against the league, not a specific team.

In ANY sport out there. Head to head record breaks ties FIRST. Then other factors kick in. This is completely ******** to lose a tiebreaker to a team that you have a 2-0 record against. **** the stats showed that if I had the same schedule as the team I beat TWICE already, I would have a a record 4 wins better than his. Unreal and disgraceful oversight.
