Playoffs - Edit matchups for every round.
This feature would allow commissioners to edit the matchups for every round of the playoffs. Currently, only the first round of the playoffs can be changed.

The ability for a commissioner to reseed teams throughout the playoffs would be key to MANY types of leagues. Not sure why the reseeding function needs to lock after the playoffs start.

Yes! Why can't we update the seeding each week? See other post "Manual Playoff Seeding for Each Round."

I 2nd this idea. Why can't these be editable throughout the playoffs? Please allow this function through all levels of the playoffs: "Edit Playoff Seeds Availablity: Post Regular Season, Pre-Playoffs, League Types: Head Changes made here override current playoff seeding options."

I agree. I have a 16 team league I’m the commishoner of. On cbs I could set the playoff matchups and consolation match ups, but yahoo doesn’t allow that. It would be great to give this option to commoshoners, it should not be tough as we set the schedule as commsohiners. This seems really weird why it is not set up like this.

Not having control really sucks.

I know it's possible to set the playoffs manually before they start, but why isn't it possible for the commish to set the playoff matchups each week? I am in a league on CBS where the number 3 seed gets to pick if they play 4, 5, or 6. Then, the 1 seed gets to pick if they play 2 or one of the winners from the previous week. It's not fair to get stuck playing a lower seed who maybe had some injuries but come playoff time they have a juggernaut.

This will allow the commissioner to set up the playoffs in our 12 team, 2 division league without having to jump through hoops. It will make our playoffs easier to follow. Thank you

Specifically in leagues with divisions, allow the option to have each division have its own seeds. This will allow leagues to mimic the real NFL and how the NFL has its conference champions face each other in the SuperBowl. Please see below and I will explain in detail how this would work.
2 Divisions in a 12 team league:
-Each division (6 teams) has the top 3 teams make the playoffs
-The top 3 teams in both division are assigned numbers 1 thru 3 seeds
-The 4, 5, and 6 seeds for both divisions make up the consolation bracket.
-In week 14 (in a league where the playoffs are weeks 14, 15, and 16) the 2 and 3 seeds in both divisions play each other. The number 1 seeds get a bye.
-In week 15 the number 1 seed plays the winners from week 14 (winner of 2 and 3 seed from week 14). This will determine the winner of each division.
- In week 16 the two division winners play each to determine the league championship. This replicates the real NFL and is how I have run my league for over a decade now. The problem is that Yahoo doesn't offer this option so I have had to use a third party website and have had to create my own playoff brackets and post links for the league member so see who they are really playing each week. This seems like such a basic option that Yahoo should have. I have been hoping Yahoo would add this option for some time now.

I think what you mean (in the title) is after the 1st playoff round has finished.

I'd like to be able to manually change matchups during the fantasy playoffs. This would allow me to have a consolation tournament take place for the Bottom 4 teams, and would include losers from Round 1 of the playoffs.

it is also one of the lowest priority requests made.

Commissioners should be able to adjust every round of the playoffs. We have the eliminated teams play for draft positions. We also have divisions throughout, not seeding teams based on points.

It's been a undressed issue for many many years... It can easily be done.

This won't be an option for this season.

7 team playoff option.. 14 man league!

The game won't support this league rule.

Our league is considering a rule change to do manual seeding of the playoffs this year for each round as we want to allow the highest seed in each round to pick their opponents of that specific round.
1) 3 Seed picks between 4-6 for first round
2) 1 Seed picks between the two winners of the first round -

I like the New Tool YAHOO just created however it does have one flaw .... any changes we make to the Playoff Seeding should also be reflected in our Final Standings

I have Toilet Bowl brackets for both leagues I'm in. The loser advances each week instead of the winner. Loser of the final game "wins" the toilet bowl trophy. Yahoo only allows the winner to advance, so the managers are required to email me their rosters. I'm glad I can customize the 1st week now, but why can't Yahoo allow customization during the entire playoffs so I can edit who advances each week.

If playing with divisions and bye weeks, should be able to have the first round split by division with the top division winners getting the bye. This way rounds 1 & 2 you are playing for your division Title and then you Play the Other Division for the Overall Championship.
Don't just make the Division Winners Top seeded and then everyone else by record. This will make more like NFL.
