Schedule/Scoring Formats - 'Doubleheaders vs league score median'.
Each week, the median fantasy points of all teams in the league is calculated by taking the middle number in a sorted list of scores of each team. Each team would get a win if they beat the league median and a loss if they lose to it.

This feature is now available with Yahoo Fantasy Commissioner Plus.

Our league migrated to Yahoo last year and our scoring type is a hybrid of head to head and overall total points. We have weekly head to head matchups (with bonus points awarded to the winner) and the league champion is decided by overall points.
We are currently using the 'Head to head' scoring type but it stops calculating overall points once the playoff weeks start, which requires tedious manual calculations during the playoff weeks. I was hoping there would be an easy way to add the ability to keep calculating points, for all teams, during these weeks.
Thanks!

What more feedback is there to gather here? Let's get this done so people don't have to leave your platform. Isn't the whole point to get people to play on your platform?

If this doesn't become an option this year, my league will be leaving. I have been with Yahoo for over 20 years. How hard is it to add a median scoring W/L on top of head to head? Yahoo, if you want to keep users on your platform, you need to evolve. Please add this.

Been using yahoo to lay my main home league for the past 19 years! Looking to add the option of playing VS the league averages as well. I believe that was Orion years ago. Another uses that option on my fantasy league.com. I’d hate to switch after almost 20 years but looks like the vote will be happening. Please allow that to be an option. I’d prefer to stay here with Yahoo!

Please add this option. This will give a better indication of the better teams in leagues. It will even out the standings and lower the chance of a team with a lucky schedule to make the playoffs. Adding this option will still allow the competitiveness going with the head to head matchups. Also, I think fantasy users all around want this as an option and once word gets out that Yahoo offers it, Yahoo will gain users who use different websites, ultimately making Yahoo the best fantasy website hands down.

Agree with the last comment - this format would work best by adding an extra "game" each week vs the league median so each team can go 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2 each week. Blends the best of both worlds by keeping H2H matchups while also factoring in point totals so top scorers don't miss the playoffs due to scheduling, which is out of their control. Currently having a heated leaguewide debate over playoff seeding criteria and adding this type of format would solve our issues and ensure that we stay with Yahoo rather than moving to a platform that already offers this setting.

Keep head to head matchups but add a Win for each team that finishes top half in points that week and add a Loss for each team that finishes in bottom half in points that week. Each week you can either go 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2. Nothing is worse than scoring the second most points in the league one week and losing. This should even out the playing field and really allow the top teams to make the playoffs.

Please add this as an additional category to the weekly head to head schedule.

I would like to see a New Scoring Type of "Head-to-Head with Extra Win/Loss for Top/Bottom Half of Scoring." You would get a win/loss for your head-to-head matchup and then an extra win/loss depending on whether you finish in the top/bottom half of scoring. A lot of the other fantasy football websites already have this option. Our league is trending that way for next year and it would be a shame to jump ship because this simple scoring type is not available. Thanks!
*I put this in as a new idea, but it looks like it was combined into this existing idea...it's pretty much the same thing as the commenter below.

Please add the option for two wins per week, where managers receive one win for finishing in the top half of the league in scoring and another for winning their head-to-head matchup.
Or even allow commissioners access to edit wins/losses in the standings because our league is now forced to add our standings on a separately created URL this season because we implemented the two-win per week format.

Would be awesome if this could happen before start of this season

This would be perfect, I have been hoping for this for a few years now. Would be similar to NHL's points system and gives you 1 point/win for top half score but having a bad match. Is it really fair to watch someone win a dud match-up 67-63 meanwhile you lose to the top scorer that week 185-182. This platform will definitely get the more deserving people into the playoffs and make for the best playoff battles

We want the ability to add wins for the top half of the league each week and losses for the bottom half each week. And we would also like the ability to schedule two matches in any given week where you play two opponents individually and receive a win or loss for each match. These options would cut down on variance in H2H

Still waiting for an All-play standings option in Yahoo.
Lets make this happen.
