Schedule/Scoring Formats - 'Doubleheaders vs league score median'.
Each week, the median fantasy points of all teams in the league is calculated by taking the middle number in a sorted list of scores of each team. Each team would get a win if they beat the league median and a loss if they lose to it.

+3 to this.
Also, WHEN you implement this, please allow commissioners to choose which weeks to be double headers (not just all or none). I would like to have my "Division Rival" weeks be double headers, so that we can have more of a traditional NFL schedule without sacrificing having to play week 17, or shorten the playoffs.

1) head to head 2) total points for week: top half get a win and bottom half get a loss.

I like the concept, however, id recommend one change, the entire league win should only get you up to .3 of a point if the h2h is a full point.

To be clear, you'd have these two-game weeks through the regular season, and then just the normal one H2H matchup per week for the playoffs.
Can we get this through for this year? We've been talking about it for years now, let's move it through!

Need doubleheaders!!!!!

I'm all in for this too -- by doubleheader, we mean you play a normal H2H opponent and then also play the entire league.
The first game is just who scores more points. The second game is where you rank within the league. For example, in a 12-team league, if you rank top 6 in a week in your league, you get a win that week. So you could be 1-1, 2-0 or 0-2 after a week, but either way the OPTION to do this will enhance the H2H format for those that want it!

Every week you have a chance to get two wins:
1. Against your H2H opponents
2. Your points rank within the league (i.e., 12-team league, top 6 scoring teams get a win, bottom 6 receive a loss)This will help mitigate some of the luck inherent in a H2H league, while still allowing the fun and excitement of H2H.

This needs to happen. Or the first platform to offer this we will be moving our league to.

Please add the following setting Options:
Allow Weekly Head to Head match ups while simultaneously awarding a win to the top half the league in weekly scoring and a loss to bottom half with teams having the possibility of going 2-0, 1-1, and 0-2 each week. Described similarly in another post. PLEASE ADD THIS FAST.

Median Monster
Teams play each week, they go head to head with another team, and they get a victory for a win. Every team plays against the league median as well. Therefore, each team would have two wins, losses, or a win and a loss for every week. Since we are playing the median score of the league, the top half of the league would earn a win and the bottom half would get a loss for the week. Every team would then have a head to head matchup with an opponent for the week and against the Median Monster!
There are several reasons to incorporate this option:
This option would guide the best teams into the playoffs. Teams making it into the playoffs under this setup would more than likely be the teams who have been winning games AND putting up the highest point totals throughout the season. When we see our playoff teams going for the championship, we would get to see the best competition in the final matchup.
Leagues that decided to have head to head matchups welcome competition. Forget about the fact that teams are playing the median score of other teams in the league for a moment, and think of it for what it really is, and that is another competitor.
The road to the playoffs is extremely tough at times. Teams will eventually reach a point during the season where it would be impossible to make the playoffs based on their win/loss standings. When including the extra competitor matchup, teams that are behind have more of an opportunity to come back with having twice as many games left in the season leaving the race to the playoffs more of a competition with double the amount of wins and losses available. This setup would prolong the life of every team in the league bringing hope to those just about to have an end to their season.
To recap some beneficial reasons to incorporate this option:
• Playoffs would have the hardest competition
• Teams get to play against two opponents each week
• Twice as many games give playoff hopes to lower ranked teamsArguments that I have heard against incorporating this option include:
o Teams that are not as good would have a harder chance getting into the playoffs. This takes away from the “Any Given Sunday” factor for underdog teams to win the entire league.
o Stuff happens
o It is fun to laugh at people who earn high points and get shafted by losingThanks for reading!

Yahoo needs to have the option for teams to go 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2 per week. Along with that we need the option to make one of the matchups head to head like usual and the other win/loss. For example the top scoring team in the league on a given week would go 2-0 because they won their head to head matchup and scored in the top half that week.
This would help the person that scores the second highest points that week while playing the highest points team, so while they may have lost the head to head matchup they were still in the top half in points so they go 1-1 for the week. -

Now that the league is open for the 2016 season. PLEASE consider adding this feature.

OR, do two games this way:
Game 1: You play your normal single H2H opponent
Game 2: You play everyone in your league; top 50% get a win and bottom 50% get a loss.
For example, if you scored 130 points one week (2nd most in league that week) but played someone that scored 140 points (most that week), you'd be 1-1. A loss for your H2H loss, but a win for being in the top 50% in points that week.
