Playoffs - Odd number of teams
This playoff format would allow for an odd number of teams in the playoffs. Currently, this is not an option for playoff formats.
7-Team playoffs are now available with Yahoo Fantasy Commissioner Plus: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/started-yahoo-fantasy-commissioner-sln36403.html

This is a must for divisions, I have dealt with the current settings for quite sometime but i am looking to setup my league elsewhere if yahoo cannot resolve this problem. Which would be a shame because I think yahoo has the best setup. However, I will go elsewhere due to the fact that I have two divisions and cannot customize the brackets to accompany this. Sorry Yahoo, Hope you listen to your fan base.

I thought this used to be a setting but it's definitely not an option now. Our commish is dead set on divisions but div record should not be the hard coded tiebreaker. Please give us options.

Our league has geographically-relevant divisions (offices of our company). It would be a lot more fun in the playoffs to know you'll only face your local opponents. Further, the championship game takes on bragging rights as it's always conference-vs-conference, just like in the NFL. Seems like a natural extension of the division concept.

I couldn't agree more with this suggestion. I've run my fantasy league here on Yahoo for 7 years now and for the most part I'm satisfied with the site. However, the one thing that has made me crazy over the years is the lack of a league customizable tiebreaker and playoff seeding choice.
My league's first tiebreaker for seeding is H2H games and Yahoo doesn't factor this in. To date it hasn't been an issue since our league is very competitive and every tie has been between teams who went 1-1-0 against each other. Second tiebreaker is points scored and so far we have never had any tied total points. All good so far but I dread the day it doesn't work out so nice.
Having the option to create our own league tiebreakers would go a long way to making life simple and giving me less grey hair. lol
After numerous emails to Yahoo over the years about this topic and receiving zero responses, I pretty much gave up. Seriously, all the other major web sites that host FFL have this option. I don't understand why Yahoo lacks it.

Tracy I am with you on your Divisional Play option. Yahoo is the only site that does not allow this option. I believe it is most important to give the owners a more realistic feel. I am also shocked that this is ranked 372 in priority list.

This is already a feature of fantasy points, in a far less complicated design than you have spread out over your novel you wrote. It's called rotisserie. Sounds to me like you got beat by a team that showed up on game day!

I've been running my league for 10 yeas now and we have never had a tie with fractional points, but, just like in the NFL, if it happens, it happens. Stop being so friggin whiney and be a man. Gees !!!

This is a fantastic idea.

Agree with this 100%! As a commissioner I give the 2 final playoff spots to the top scoring teams regardless of record. Have to do a whole bunch of tweaking just to get the right teams in the playoffs.

I would also love for this to happen. Give us the flexibility to construct our own playoff schedules.
As for those who want to see special matchups, you can "trick" Yahoo into displaying them by changing the team numbers in the matchup. I have been running a 9-12 playoff to earn the number 1 draft spot next season for years.
Just click on a matchup to get the webpage. Then change the team numbers to match the two teams you want to pair up. Post a hyperlink to this new page on your team's message board and anyone can view the score at any time by clicking on the link. Wish it was available as an actual option, but this is how you can do it.

I'd also like to see the ability to add 2 week long playoff match ups. in a 12 team league, after week 11 you can launch into playoffs. weeks 12 quarter finals. 13/14 semi's. 15/16 finals

Yahoo please do this immediately

YES! Why on earth don't they do this? All actual sports work this way, why do they have divisions at all if they aren't going to let them effect the playoff picture beyond declaring #1 seeds?! CBS Sports does it, why don't they?

A single win elimination option would also be cool because we could determine the worst team in the league to win the sack-o

Yes, I also want to disable the consolation bracket in my league (4 teams make playoffs)
