Playoffs - Customizable consolation bracket.
This feature will allow commissioners to do the following;
- Turn the consolation bracket on or off
- Change the number of teams the league has in the consolation bracket
- Customize the seeding and teams in the consolation bracket.
Currently, the consolation bracket is only available for 4 and 6 team playoff format, it is not able to be turned on and off, and does not allow for the commissioner to change the number of teams in the consolation bracket or customize the teams/seeding.

Its 2023. Yahoo created Playoffs - Customizable consolation bracket feedback post in 2021. 2 years later and yahoo still doesn't have Customizable consolation bracket. What is the purpose of feedback when yahoo will not act on feedback? Seriously. This shouldn't be hard to get done. Yahoo all ready has lock eliminated teams which is a worthless option. Yahoo forces commissioners to message them asking yahoo to lock teams that's been eliminated from playoffs. WTF. I don't know why yahoo refuses to have Customizable consolation bracket.

I'm running a 12 team league. Currently Yahoo only allows two brackets to be created for our final two week playoffs. 1) top 4 teams play in Championship bracket 2) team 5 thru 8 play in Consolation bracket. Teams 9 thru 12 miss out on the final two weeks of the Fantasy season because there is no way for me to setup a "Toilet" bowl bracket. Would be real nice if Yahoo would create more flexibility in setting up brackets

Sorry Yahoo (and NFL dot com) but ESPN wins this round. It allowed 16 of us to play all season. No one lost interest in November because they were in the bottom 8 because, even if in last place after our regular season, the expanded consolation bracket allowed them to possibly move up from 16th seed to a 9th place final finish. In Yahoo, I've found that managers who fail to make the playoffs disappear on me in spite of my guarantee of non-snaking reverse order of standings draft picks.

For keeper leagues this would be very useful for determining draft picks in the following season. This would keep the bottom teams stay active and try to win.

Many leagues use the playoffs to decide draft order for the following season. It would be great to be able to still watch our teams and match ups as we fight for the 1st overall draft pick the next year.

This feedback goes back to Oct 20, 2021. If they haven't changed it by now, they won't change it. Yahoo needs to lose subscribers to ESPN and NFL.com first. Yahoo lost me.

This has been an issues for years. i don't get why yahoo have a feedback section when it will not address any of the issues. It shouldn't take years of gathering feedback on something so simple as allowing consolation brackets to be turned off and on. Are you serious yahoo. This will not throw the fantasy community into chaos.

Most managers have no interest in the consolation bracket So it would be nice to have an option to turn it off and the teams that don’t make the playoffs just finish with the rankings they have from the regular season

I run a league with 16 teams. Top 8 make the playoffs but no option to have a consolation bracket for the bottom 8 teams. Seems silly to me!

Been using the loser advances playoff bracket for my league since 2010 and it’s a fantastic way to determine who the biggest loser of the year is…came to yahoo last year and it couldn’t work since Commish didn’t have option to to set playoff matchups weekly in the playoffs…this could at least allow it to work/have correct matchups…please give commissioner options to do this for their leagues! This is very important and a big part of our leagues that I run.

Set up a consultation bracket option so that the bottom six teams can be seeded week 15. Teams only advance if they lose…loser at end of week 17 is biggest loser for the league that year! If it’s too much to embed seeding and losing into the software options, then give commissioner control to set consulation matchups every week of the playoffs. This makes it fun for the league team members not in the playoffs and gives them a reason to be a winner at the end of the year…NOBODY wants to be the Biggest Loser/own the team that couldn’t win!

For leagues with a lower number of teams it would be nice a way to make it so that teams have a chance to make the playoffs but can still end up in the consolation bracket.
For example: 8 team league that does a 7 team playoff format: (2/7,3/6,4/5): The 3 winning teams move on to the playoffs and would be reseeded. The losing 3 teams move on to the consolation bracket and would be reseeded. The number 1 seed (playoff bracket) and number 8 seed (consolation bracket) would each get a bye for the round.

Please update Playoffs - Customizable consolation bracket. Allow Consolation brackets to be turn off and on. Teams eliminated from playoffs should not be allowed to add and drop players in prize leagues.
Every year i have to contact yahoo to lock eliminated teams. leagues should not have to contact yahoo for this purpose.

Currently:
- 12 team leagues get 6 or 8 teams in the playoffs, and the rest in a consolation bracket.
- 14 team leagues can have 6 in the playoffs, but only a 6 person consolation (2 teams just miss out)
- 14 team leagues can have 8 in the playoffs and no consolation at all.The ability to set how big the consolation bracket is would allow for playoffs, and a consolation championship to keep all players engaged, and allow of an overall last-place position.

in a 14 team league, 8 make playoffs. We'd love to have a consolation bracket for the 6 non-playoff teams so they can fight for the 1st pick in the draft the following year. Keep them engaged and make the league more competitive! Cheers..

I run a 10 team PPR league with 4 playoff teams. We wanted all six other teams to make the consolation bracket but now only four can. Its 2021 and we can't customize our leagues more effectively?

in a 12 man team fantasy football league please have the top 8 for the championship playoffs and then allow the bottom 4 teams to play in a consolation playoffs.
